The young girls are facing up to 7 years in Prison for an anti Vladimir Putin performance and had pleaded Madonna to take a stance for their freedom. Pussy Riot on their performance: Madonna referenced the band covering her face up just as they did when they made their infamous performance that got them detained, as a message of liberation and a stance against repression and censorship.
