Beastialg
The Northern America numbers do seem too low (she is going to do at least +10m from the 2 Yankee Stadium dates only). Also they say 44 dates for US and Canada when actually they are only 43. I bet on something like this. Europe: $115m US & Canada: $140 Latin America: $65 Total: $
tuckeye
well before S&S's second leg, how much was her total??? maybe she will reconsider once she sees lady gimmick gimmicking away with the "highest grossest tour ever in the history of the world!" Louise Oriole
The $111m for the US shows is how much it's sold so far. She will probably make more than that once the leg is done.

tuckeye
thank u, see that is probably how much she will make this time around so it can be easily broken. if she did a second leg in summer '13 then its awn, but oh well if she dont, aint no thang

MDNA on the contrary has had 30 European runs of which 11 played in arenas Secondly his previous "Working on a dream" Tour, which ran similarly to S&S around 2009, had a total of 19 dates played in Europe over the final 84 dates figure. Madonna on S&S had about 43 European dates over a total of 85 gigs when the tour wrapped up in 2009. She's literally milked Europe for all it's worth barely 3 years ago and this year again. Considering the whole context Bruce numbers should be way higher compared to hers. All I see is 3 more stadium gigs on his side but only a couple million dollars more in gross when the total gets compared. Just sayin (2009 European leg gigs proportion for Springsteen 19/84 vs 43/85 Madonna)

There are about 5 acts on this planet that are able to generate those sky high numbers. If Gaga can, remains to be seen. To put things into perspective Gagas Monster Ball Tour generated roughly 227 million from 201 (!) shows. And even if Gaga should be able to gross more than MDNA it's still a very long way to S&S numbers. And then of course there is always the question about profits. All the revenues are useless if your costs are out of control. And to have a stage that needs 5 days to be constructed and deconstructed is financial nonsense. Especially if this is a one night only gig at an arena. And to ship or fly a whole production to a land far far away (South Africa) from any touring route known to man does not sound very profitable either. Of course, she can always claim it's all about her fans.
tuckeye
yes but it is only about the headlines of what she made, not how much she went into debt.....u know lady gimmick will keep right on going until she breaks M's record all madonna has to do is a couple months second leg and its all done for every bitch out there, lol but oh well if lady gimmick does. XXL
When will we see grosses for individual dates? later this week u think? well if the overall gross figure was disclosed by BIllboard itself I doubt they will let the week pass without posting the individual gigs' numbers. Usually this is what they do, they publish a sneak preview of something and the following day or shortly after they give all the detailed figures

Considering Gagas ticket prices and the venues she's playing she will have to play even more dates than on her previous tour. That's highly unlikely. She has saturated the major markets and she's no longer as popular as she used to be. She is not going to break any touring record soon. And who cares? For Madonna there is always a farewell tour. Two or three years on the road. A billion dollars in ticket sales. In result every record in touring will broken. Rolling Stones? U2?
