Nikki Posted June 3, 2012 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Hung Up I think may be partly live, but it uses a heavy effect on her voice, Vogue is lipynsced in my opinion and Gang bang uses a very loud tape so sometimes she sings loud over it and sometimes you just hear the tape.. other than that I think its pretty much a live show. pasqual Posted June 3, 2012 Share Posted June 3, 2012 well...we should wait few shows so we could compare... for me..it seems that on each song has recorded lines mixed with live and back vocals...for example of good sound is CT for sure...there was also everything..lots of layers but it was nice to hear concert...from S&S there has been some weird combinations that sometimes just sound terrible... peter Posted June 4, 2012 Share Posted June 4, 2012 I think there's some confusion, because if you look at GGW closely, she does not even pretend to be singing on the "hey-ey-ey...." part, but brings the microphone back up on the "like a girl gone WILD a goodgirlgone WILD" -- and you can hear the pitchy-ness in her voice when she emphasizes the "WILD" and jumps up an octave to hit the note. That's clearly a live vocal. The extended run on the "hey-eyeyey..." is filled in by backing vocalists -- not sure if there is also a pre-recorded M vocal filling in there too or not. "Gang Bang" clearly has the album vocals piped in through the sound system, but (as others have noted) you can definitely hear her live voice on some more emphatic lines. The thing is, that number in particular is like her trying to do "Erotica" or JML live on TGS... replicating her spoken vocals like that is tricky, so she uses playback. When she 'augments' her live vocals, it's difficult to source it out clearly from patchy YouTube audio. As others have said, time may tell ... I remember with the Perfections Tour, the opening night (in LA, yes?) was clearly live for "Future Lovers." It seems from later videos that she may have settled into miming that one. So, what she did in Tel Aviv does not necessarily indicate what she will do all tour long. However, if most of the show is lipped, i can't stand it, it's a waste of my money, sorry. Doesn't look like it's all like that though so no biggie, i just thought more of it was live than i'm hearing from others, that's all. The downside was when it's turn for slower songs (particularly when she's on her guitar) where she definitely sang live, you couldn't almost hear anything in the beginning.
