He didn't produce or write with her and she ended dumping virtually everything anyway. Ah. Well just the fact he was in the frame at all was enough to horrify me I suspected it would have been production, that's usually how you think of it in terms of but she basically was going to cover one of his songs? Msig Posted May 15, 2012 Share Posted May 15, 2012 (edited) The original demo of "Bang Bang", sung by Priscilla Renea, was written mainly by Priscilla Renea herself, Jean Baptiste and Mika. The demo was submitted to Madonna, who recorded her own version, with William Orbit slightly reworking Free School's original production. The song was finished, but as revealed by William Orbit in the EPK, when they were about to listen to the final mix one last time before sending it to mastering, Demo Castellon plugged in his iPad and started playing an instrumental track. Feeling inspired, Madonna went straight back into the recording booth and started singing the "Bang Bang" lyrics to Demo's beat, basically improvising what we have come to know as "Gang Bang". I mean, it's definitely not the strongest track out of all the ones they recorded for the album, but it's mediocre at worst. It's better than many of the outtakes from the last couple of albums.
