It reminds me, in the beat of The Waitresses "I know What Boys Like"......

Maybe thats the "hook" 80's pop someone above was referring to. At least for me thats what i get from it.

I like Some girls.

Agreed. Also a bit of Depeche Mode and Air.. just love it's meandering chorus production.

It's funny because when I listened to this the first time on leak day I thought it was decent but not anything too special. Then I listened again later on, with headphones on and WOW....this IS an 80's Madonna song. This could've been on Like A Virgin or something (obviously not the production) the hook is INSANE!! FANTASTIC track and I hope this ends up being a single.

Like you, I wasn't impressed at first listen. I'm not sure I agree it could fit on LIKE A VIRGIN, but her voice reminds me a lot of how her voice was for EARLY MADONNA w/ Otto Von Werhner. Though that was nonsensical crap. But still, her voice and some of the sounds take me back to that, but in a good way. I'm learning to really appreciate this one the more I listen to it.

I love it. One of my top 5 on MDNA. Very depeche mode meets duran duran and ya maybe some debbie harry. Basically very 80s. Me likes.

do u guys know what the computerized voices are saying??

I think "Like A virgin, sweet and pretty."...."instant credit never hurts."........"too much is never enough."

I could be off on a couple of those so somebody please feel free to correct.

I'm certain that at 3:35 the voice says - 'got fuck me porn star heels on' :lmao:

I am totally in love with this song - I can imagine a totally fierce performance for this with great choreography ala Ms Aguilera's Diiirty

I thought the second one is "Insert credit / It's gonna hurt." I agree on the third one for sure. The first one could be right -- what you hear as "pretty" I've never been able to distinguish because it's so distorted.

Later on, there's a "worst nightmare" and "wet dream" split over two lines of the second couplet of the chorus.

The high quality version is great. There's something underground/indie about it. I can imagine Pitchfork liking it if Madonna wasn't the artist.

Agreed. It's a brilliant track. Does anyone else think this is the Candy Perfume Girl of this album? For a rather simple track it's so beautifully polished and cooler than the title makes it out to be. I think if the vocal effects were taken off her, she would still own it vocally.
