HolidayGuy
It depends on whether sales hold up well following the Super Bowl. It may experience a mad rush of sales in the couple hours following the SB, which will go toward its three says of sales. I'd be surprised if it was in contention for No. 1 on the Hot 100, but odder stuff has happened.
Guest Topaz Scorpio
Well, "Born This Way" debuted at #1 with only 3 days of sales, so stranger things have happened. It appears likely to go Top 10 at least. If it doesn't it's only because there happen to be better songs out there at the moment (Adele and Kelly). Guest I'llTeachYouHowTo...
being one of the few who actually LOVE the song, i'd be soooooooooooooo ecstatic if it goes number one. it would be extra special, considering her status as far as the US is concerned this last decade. either way, whatever success it has will be awesome, but i really hope this finally gives her a proper grip on american radio again....BEYOND the first single. it'd be sooooooo good to hear madonna on the radio again here. You're not "one of the few who actually LOVE the song". There are many people who really enjoy the song without putting too much expectations on it. Maybe it's not her best song, but it's fun and the video makes it even more so.

AmericanLife95825
i was charged the price of a single when i did the pre-order. it says "[you've already pre-ordered this item]" when i click to do it... so, i paid the price for a single when i clicked pre-order. it should for sure count for single sales. Guest northernlad
i think us madonna fans have moved on from that. I'm willing to bet several of our Asian and South American FRIENDS have replaced the personal contacts from their phone address books with said radio station numbers and with every free minute they can find between waiting for transit, sneaking restroom breaks in at work, and waking up 3 hours early are agonisingly and frantically making several dozen overseas calls a day, in addition to sending hundreds of emails from multiple email accounts and participating in every site that has a play or not poll all in the hopes of improving the Hot 100 position by a mere point. IT'S TRADITION.

IMHO clarkson is the competition. her song is on fire right now. has anyone noticed that when you click GMAYL in the front page of iTunes it goes into the pre-order page for the album? it's own page is not yet visible so it is quite possible that its showing in the singles chart is from all the pre-orders only...
