Madonna’s ‘M.D.N.A.’ Already a Worldwide Hit

by: Jessica Sager 46 minutes ago

They don’t call her the Queen of Pop for nothin’! Madonna‘s latest album, ‘M.D.N.A.’ and her new single, ‘Give Me All Your Luvin” are at the top of the iTunes charts all over the planet.

Madonnarama reports that ‘M.D.N.A.’ can be preordered in 51 countries — and is already at No. 1 in a whopping 49 of them! Madonna topped the charts in Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the U.K., the U.S. (but of course!) and Venezuela. Phew! She currently rests at No. 2 in Japan and No. 3 in Australia.

This is an especially impressive feat when you realize that the album isn’t even out until March 26. These fans really couldn’t wait. You go, Madge!

Chances are preorders for ‘M.D.N.A.’ will only skyrocket even further following her Super Bowl halftime show tomorrow (Feb. 5). The highly anticipated performance features Cee Lo Green and LMFAO as well as ‘Give Me All Your Luvin” collaborators Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.

In addition to her halftime hoedown, the Material Girl has been making her rounds to promote the album and her new film, ‘W.E.,’ which hit theaters on Friday (Feb. 3). She recently sat down with Jay Leno and Graham Norton, as well presenting at the Golden Globes (and taking one home!). Tickets for her world tour will go on sale immediately following her performance. Congrats, Madonna!

it looks like "give me all your luvin" could reach #1 first in France. Currently #2 Allez les Frenchies!!! #GMAYL

And that's Australia off the tour. :fag:

No, no! I just bought it! And I've been spamming all of my 50! friends on FB  and hijacking other people's posts so they know what's doing.

M should record a special tour announcement just for us; Australian's are fickle and need to feel like the center of attention....then she may get #1 :fag:

How odd that one song is a worry for people when an ENTIRE 18 TRACK ALBUM is sitting at #1 all over the world.

People are backing the WHOLE PROJECT by blindly buying the album like that, i couldn't think of anything more positive at this point.

I guess people like Rihanna and Katy Perry have gotten a lot of gays used to supporting SINGLES since that's their strongest way of selling their music. Other acts are able to sell...you know.....actual albums.....be proud of the fact that Madonna is still able to do that at her age, it's incredible. Leave the "singles" chart for the teens buying songs with their pocket money.

Australia #2

Australian fans...come on!

it's Australia a country were rihanna shoots number 1's after number 1's and is about to catch Madonna's single number 1's? ...that's a good reason to leave them out of the next Tour :horn:

OMG so it's really an EIGHTEEN track album? That's a first for her.. on the one hand, great to have all that new shyt after being starved for new material but we don't want filler. One of them is a remix of Kick The Bucket and it won't tell you what track 17 & 18 are.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/celebs/news/2012/02/05/at-53-madonna-is-still-number-one-in-charts-in-15-countries-115875-23735945/

New pretenders come and go every year: Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna, Lady Gaga... but there’s only one Madonna.

At 53, the Queen of Pop put her throne beyond doubt yesterday when her new album MDNA went to Number One in FORTY-THREE countries on pre-orders alone

Yet until it’s released on CD on March 26 fans will be able to hear only one single from the album.

But within 24 hours of premiering the video of that first track – Give Me All Your Luvin’, featuring US star Nicki Minaj and Brit urban star M.I.A. – it had scored three million hits on YouTube.

In the video Madonna cavorts with American football players, pretends to breastfeed a baby, pays homage to Marilyn Monroe in a blonde wig... and wears her trademark crucifix throughout.

Her manager Guy Oseary said on Twitter: “MDNA is No 1 album on iTunes in 43 countries andGive Me All Your Luvin’ is No 1 single in 15 countries in just 1 day!! Thank Y-O-U”

Madonna’s 12th studio album became available to order for download on iTunes on Friday and immediately shot into the record books by becoming a more-or-less global Number One with most of the tracks still unheard.

This is just the beginning of what seems to be a global takeover in the coming weeks.

Tonight Madonna performs a 12-minute set at half-time during the American Super Bowl football championships in Indianapolis.

The mum of four will perform three classic hits and her new single during the show, which is broadcast to an estimated 200 million people around the world.

With input from global circus brand Cirque du Soleil and her own live show specialist Jamie King, it’s sure to be visually as well as musically stunning.

“I’m so nervous!” she said at a press conference this week.

“The Super Bowl is like, God in America. It’s like the whole country is watching this game.

“It’s everything and it means so much to people. Then I come on at half-time... I’d better put on a damn good show, right?”

She’s also said to be days away from announcing a world tour to support the album in her bid for total domination of the pop world.

Sounds like those younger rivals need to sharpen up their acts...or it’s game, set and Madge to Madonna.

Australians are such freaking whiners....and I am one. Of course I want her to come desperately, but you should hear the cry baby comments on FB via a drownedmadonna post asking aussies to make it #1. Christ...."I'll buy it if you come" "you owe us", give me a break. If you're that jadded then why do you care enough to follow feed regarding her on a daily basis.....morons.

Anyway, someone said it went to 1 in oz...can anyone confirm? I can't see via my phone..... :horn:
