It's a great song but got overtaken by the backlash to Sex. Many people would even remember the song no. Human Nature, Jump and Nothing Really Matters are other great songs with iconic videos (except Jump) that suffer from being the fourth single. I don't think any of these would be remembered except the jerky dance from NRM. And finally, Nothing Fails - this was picked up by the radio stations as the stand out track from the AL album but M and Warner's failed to capitalise on this and the single flopped. Amen to that! I figured Nothing Fails would be a good candidate for Madonna's 13th number 1 when I first heard AL...sadly, the opportunity was squandered. So yeah, if we're going on underrated single releases, add Hollywood and Love Profusion to the list...two excellent songs which I could have seen being huge had it not been for the horrible backlash of the AL video (the original). I'd say that all of the songs are good for me. Songs that are underrated for me are: White Heat Inside Of Me (many samples btw ) Secret Garden (what does this song wants to say ) Mer Girl Impressive Instant Nobody Knows Me Forbidden Love from 2005 Dance 2Night Yeahhhh. Most critics panned it when they heard it, commenting that it was a torch song and Madonna was not a torch singer. I liked that she tried something different.
