Is Susan Boyle the new Madonna?

Sorry, but that's just terrible. Although I admire the technical skill of her singing the entire song while apparently jogging in place, the end result is slick and hollow and hokey. It's the Twilight to Madonna's Dracula.

The computer Hal from 2001, has more passion, and emotion.

This is what happens when someone who has never been near a dick, sings about the loss of the dick.

Sorry Susan, try again after you've been fucked or sucked a few times.

Yeah... not feeling it at all, unfortunately. Sounds kinda emotionless, imo. :boring: The preview sounded rather promising.

I have to agree... where is the feeling? Madonna version is way superior... I was quite disapointed... expected way better...

Oh my God Vibratto. This makes you appreciate how great Madonna is at presenting the vocal of a song. She does it so amazingly beautifully and succincty when she sings you'll see. It oddly sounds effortless with Madonna and yet very forced with Subo.

I had the same EXACT reaction. She knows nothing of being in love or having her heart broken.

Except that for her, the song takes on the meaning of "you'll see, i'll show you I can do something with my life." Which is understandable.

The new version is okay but there was never going to be anything that topped the original anyhow, which remains one of Madge's best recordings. She tried, but she sounds better doing standards.

She's the new Carnie Wilson.

I could tell it paled greatly in comparison to Madonna's version from the 30 second clip; I don't need to hear anymore.

Susan Boyle 'mobbed by fans in New York'

Wednesday, November 25 2009, 14:14 GMT

By David Balls, Music Reporter

Susan Boyle was mobbed by fans when she arrived at New York's Rockerfeller Plaza to promote her debut album I Dreamed A Dream.

Some fans held up banners while others donned tartan outfits as they greeted the Scottish singer on her first visit to the city.

"I'm very excited, it's a good place to be," she said.

Boyle performed live on NBC's Today show, followed by an exclusive set at the Rockefeller Center.

According to midweek sales figures, Boyle shifted nearly 150,000 copies of her debut album on its first day of release in the UK.

Reminds me of the Who's That Girl premier :wow:
