Carta
The mayor was asking for Madonna's help in using her influence to bring the disaster to the world's attention. By merely mentioning her name, he's already achieved his goal, has he not? Madonna's doesn't even need to lift a finger. Any story mentioning Madonna immediately gains worldwide coverage. My heart goes out to all Italians affected by the quake.
GoodbyeToInnocence72
Its probably karma for tearing up her CD's and calling her a slut. I bet you they never liked her before. Now its all "Save us my queen". I do feel bad for the victims who lost their lives but they have government money that can help them unlike the corrupted Africa countries who let their shithole stay a shithole. magom
The article itself by using Madonna name is a way to bring attention. Many people will realize about this petition even before Madonna knows about it.

feardesire
She can't save the world I don't know why the mayor would seek out an entertainer for help in such a tragedy. He should be appealing to world leaders for aid instead. Our prime minister ( ) said we don't need any help from abroad, "Because we are proud people"... So Madonna is safe!
