promise to try
Didn't know that 'Hard Candy' sold less than 'American Life' well, but AL was in another era, the sales were higher...and she was on the TV, performed in TOTP...

Guest SuperPop
well, but AL was in another era, the sales were higher...and she was on the TV, performed in TOTP... still 4M was huge and one of the biggest singles of last year in UK , whereas all the sinlges from AL didn't fair at all well.. Guest Danny86
It most likely happened in December already. Of course certain people will keep on ragging about this, even though they all know the chart works differently now than in 2008. Like, "Hollywood" was the bigger hit than "GI2M" because it peaked at #2, right?

fak
arethese crrect? they sound like over-estimates esp STR. I do remember ROL being less than 1.8mill, music less than 1.6, LAV less than 1.9, TB maybe 2.1? is nt TIC in the 3 million plus range? Like A Virgin: 2,100,000 True Blue: 2,300,000 The Immaculate Collection: 4,200,000 Something To Remember: 1,200,000 Ray Of Light: 1,900,000 Music: 1,725,
Guest Danny86
^Now that you mention it yeah, TIC seems very inflated, the OCC has it around 3.55 million... Music and ROL were indeed 1.6 and 1.8 million in that top 100 sales list from 2007. TB is 2.1 and is just below Kylie's debut.

Queen Bitch
STR is way over estimated - it's shipped around 900k. LAP's sales are ridiculous but it was all SAW shite in the late 80s, I remember people saying she'd fade in 1990, in their year end predictions

Queen Bitch
I'm not sure music clubs still exist in the UK but I never buy newspapers so wouldn't see the adverts for them if they do. Queen Bitch
Sugababes are on course to have their seventh number one of the decade this weekend which means Madonna won't even equal their record let alone surpass it. She's still I think the solo female act with the most number 1s of the 00s. Howver, she tails behind Kylie in singles sales though and Celebration ain't good enought to do the 260k required to surpass her. Not sure of her sales in relation to Britney's. Ciccone's Cheeks
lol ^ well, female, not group, w/ the most #1s is all that matters here! As for Kylie and selling the most singles, Kylie only is ahead of her cause of one song CGYOMH!I think most people will zone in on female w/ the most #1s compared to who sold 250k more singles lol.
