Actually those look like bad scratches and bruises; not fresh blood.

The W mag site took the whole page down, I wonder what happened?

Well, it was a good teaser.

Now they got the following message instead:

"Blame it on Rio. Amid sultry settings and irresistible distractions, Madonna falls under the spell of Rio de Janeiro. Look for our March issue, coming soon."

Madonna Exudes Humanlike Attributes in Photo Shoot

http://www.blackbookmag.com

By Rohin GuhaFebruary 09, 2009

If you're like me and you need reams of evidence to prove that Madonna is in fact a woman and not a basilisk assuming the form of a woman, consider this sheaf of photography from the latest issue of W. Steven Klein manages to accomplish the nearly-impossible and make the diva appear humanlike. Using flourishes far more nuanced than soft-focus and lens flare, Klein exhumes sentience and sensitivity absent from the pop singer's emotional range since this single. Why, she even looks coy and vulnerable in some shots!

More miraculous is how he succeeds in infusing her with some long-lost glamour— convincing us that, yes, Madonna could be a precocious schoolmarm, lounge singer, and socialista. And that guy propped up next to her? That’s Guy Ritchie’s A-Rod’s replacement, whose back Klein has courteously photographed to make identification easier (it’s Jesus Luz if you can’t bear the suspense). But ultimately, this photoshoot comes as a huge relief for those of us wondering if there would be anything salvageable for Her Madgesty’s image after her perilous travels through Timbaland. It even offers a kernel of hope that after Madonna’s done chasing the coat-tails of dying fads, she may gracefully step back up to the pop throne and become a trailblazer again. But until then, you may bow down to Rihanna.

Madonna & Jesus Undress for W-TF Photos

PopEater

(Feb. 9) - This time, Madonna gets the last laugh. Following her divorce to Guy Ritchie and being connection to Yankees player Alex Rodriguez, the 'Sticky Sweet' singer and her 20-something "pal" Jesus Luz decided to bare lots of skin in a 48-page photo spread for the March 2009 issue of W Magazine ... We're still speechless.

Luz, a Brazilian model, was discovered by photographer Steven Klein during casting for the shoot in Rio de Janeiro. Creative Director Dennis Freedman said the singer and model had "obvious chemistry."

After Page Six caught the two together in Rio, rumors began to spread about the romantic fling. "Everyone knows... they are kissing and doing other things but without any obligation of being faithful or getting into a relationship afterward," sources said. Last month, the pair were spotted together again in New York having lunch together.

Madonna agreed to undertake the W project on her two-day break between concerts in Rio and Sao Paulo on the South American leg of her Sticky & Sweet Tour. The first day was devoted to fittings while the second day, "she worked well into the night," Freedman said.

The photo spread 'Blame It on Rio' is Madonna and Klein's third collaboration for W.

There was a man, a lonely man

Who lost his love through his indifference

A heart that cared

That went unshared until it died within his silence

And Solitaire's the only game in town

And every road that takes him takes him down

And by himself it's easy to pretend he'll never love again

And keeping to himself he plays the game

Without her love it always ends the same

While life goes on around him everywhere

He's playing Solitaire

wonder if this was filmed for a tour video

The last two shoots were used for her tours. The X-Static Process shoot for W magazine in 2003 was used for the the "Beast Within" intro in RIT and the "equestrian" shoot for W (2006?) was used as the backdrop to Future Lovers in CT. So.... who knows? It could happen.

On the Z100 morning show, here in NYC, they were talkin' REAL SMACK about our girl. I mean, they were being REALLY mean and BRUTAL with their comments about her and this photoshoot. They all agreed that Jesus was hot, but they slagged Madonna off completely. I was PISSED. I usually don't do this kinda thing, but I sent them an e-mail and wanted to share it wit y'all. (Sorry if it's too long):

"Hi, guys!

I have been a fan of the Z100 Morning Show since the very beginning! I listen to you guys EVERY morning and feel like I, practically, know you guys! I am, however, very disappointed in you after the conversation you had about Madonna this morning - especially Danielle, Carolina and Froggy (though I'm not surprised by him). I couldn't believe how outrageously scathing, judgmental, ageist, and bordering on evil you all sounded when talking about her (with the exception of Bell and T., since Elvis was just playing Devil's Advocate the whole time). The women, especially, sounded extra petty and hurtful in their comments. The green eyed monster was evident and ugly as ever in that room! I was so disappointed, and have always thought you all were better than that. But, I was proven wrong.

What did this woman ever do to you guys to deserve such hatred thrown her way? I understand that you said she wasn't the nicest person when you last interviewed her, but who's to say she wasn't having a bad day, or, perhaps, suffering from pre-menopausal hormone fluctuations? If she wasn't nice to you, at least it wasn't public knowledge until YOU made it so. You guys, however, resorted to tearing her apart into atomic particles and judging her in front of millions of listeners! That was just low, low, low and very typical of what's wrong with "the media" today. "Her coochie has an Easy Pass???" Seriously!

What bothered me the most, however, was the ageist attitude you guys displayed. Danielle can back peddle all she wants, since she later contended that it was less about age and more about Madonna being a mother, but what do insults regarding wrinkles, or being "shriveled up," or having an "Easy Pass coochie" have anything to do with motherhood? Please. Own up to what you say. The fact is all of your comments centered around how "over" she is, and how she should, as they say, "hang it up, and step aside", or how "sad and pathetic" it is for her to still want to be sexy and provocative at her age. Why should she stop doing what she's always done and likes to do just because of her age? Madonna is a legend, and "sleeping her way to the top", as so many jealous people contend she did, doesn't make you the most successful female singer in history. It's obvious she's gotten there with hard work, dedication, talent and smarts. She's earned the right to do whatever she wants, artistically speaking. So WHAT if she's 50 and still posing in sexy spreads? SHE'S HOT, still beautiful and in amazing shape! And, yes, at, oh my God, 50! How could that possibly be? Well, it is. Get over it, and get with the program. We're in the 21st century, and ageist comments like yours are totally damaging to our society and are utterly, or, at least, should be utterly unacceptable!

Attacking and judging her abilities as a mother is also uncalled for. Do you live with her? Are you her child? If anything, her kids look pretty well adjusted especially considering their life in the public eye. Those pictures she took aren't her life. They're part of her work. Let's not confuse the two. Also, let's not judge her personal life, or parenting abilities, because of some pictures taken to sell some clothes. Speaking of the pics, they aren't even that outrageous, anyway. It's the guy who's naked, not her! Yet, she's still being vilified by you because of it...and her age. I'm sure that if she were 25 or 30 years old, that conversation would've never taken place like that. Ageism in this country really is appalling, and you guys seem to be eating it all up. Mind you, this is all coming from a 30 year old who still "DEFINITELY would" with Madonna. But, since I'm not 21, maybe you won't think my comments are relevant, either.

Expressing your opinions on a subject matter, as you normally do, is one thing. Maliciously judging and verbally battering someone else publicly, and thinking it's OK to do so just because they're famous, is a whole 'nother thing. And, grossly adding ageist prejudices to the mix takes it to a whole 'nother unacceptable level altogether. I, normally, love you guys, but I hope you all won't resort to that again. Otherwise, you just might lose one life-long listener. But, maybe that won't matter to you since, at 30, I am above your age demographic."
