:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

But seriously, usually the people who buy this type of music don't buy ALBUMS. This is quite remarkable. Usually these type of albums linger in the lower echelons of the Top Forty for one week and then disappear soon after.

I really cannot believe that. I'm also shocked their latest "release" has five million views on You Tube, around the same as Beyonce's "Single Ladies".

The chavs are the ones who are surviving the credit crunch the best

I thought Dido would do better

Hi

Yes there always seems to be a new GH around for them but actually the tracklisting on this 2CD set is worth the cash this time. It covers their 25 years as a band (if one person with various session musicians is a band).

Funkydita, any chance you have HC/4M/GI2M positions from last Sunday? Cheers, nice!

I don't have them I'm afraid. My colleague who circulates them wasn't around last week - let me see what I can do... :sneaky:

Leona misses out after 'Run' chart bungle

Wednesday, November 19 2008, 09:53 GMT

By David Balls

Leona Lewis looks set to miss out on entering the singles chart with 'Run' after a record company blunder.

The singer was expected to release 'Run' as a digital download after performing the song on last weekend's X Factor. However Sony failed to make it available online.

"It’s an absolute c**k-up. It was due out as a download and would have walked to number one," an insider told The Sun.

The song shot straight to number one on the Irish iTunes after her performance on the ITV1 show. A video has already been recorded in South Africa and Dermot O'Leary introduced it as "her new single".

A spokesman for Lewis told The Sun: "'Run' has never been scheduled for release as a single. It is available on the new edition of Spirit, in stores now and digitally from December 1."

However, fans are reportedly complaining that bosses changed their mind to force people to buy the album re-release, according to the newspaper.

"If that’s the case, the Leona camp will be furious. Given the choice of a single or double number one, I know what they would have preferred," the insider added.

Would people rather 'Miles Away' reached a low chart postion like 30 or would it be better if it missed the top 75 altogether, so as to appear not to spoilt her run of hits?

Less than a week and Miles away isn't even on the pop 100 on i-tunes xx

^ first choice would be just to NOT release the song at all lol. But yeah, Id rather it just went below the chart radar (not even going above #75, than peaking at a pathetic bottom of the top 40 peak) Let the era just end with some "respect" w/ GI2M LOL!

I heard "Miles Away" instrumental used as a "bed" for Radio One's news so they are obviously aware its release. I wonder if there may be some play soon with the announcement of the quickie divorce tomorrow?
