Another 14 concerts to be announced

The hype for Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour is still going strong as tickets are selling like hot cakes across the globe.

Sticky & Sweet has already surpassed the 1 million-ticket mark and 14 concerts have yet to go on sale. Madonna has a total of 55 concerts scheduled for her tour. Eight concerts in South America, four concerts in Europe and two concerts in North America still haven’t been announced.

90 percent of Sticky & Sweet Tour tickets are already sold out. Live Nation’s chairman of Global Music and CEO of Global Touring, Arthur Fogel, said, “With Sticky & Sweet, Madonna is on track to break her own record as the top grossing female artist of all time.”

Madonna is ranked by the Recording Industry Association of America as the best-selling female rock artist of the twentieth century and the second top-selling female artist in the United States. Even the Guinness World Record lists her as the most successful female recording artist of all time.

Is Madonna on her way to breaking her own ticket sales record?

Well it's all relative, if Kylie toured gaybars for the next ten years she could break Madonna's record of a three month tour. :manson:

hahahaha exactly...like that Cher tour that was the highest grossing one, well duh, after touring for 3 yrs, you are bound to break some records

At least Celine toured Australia recently!

Where the fuck is Madonna? She's pissed off her Aussie fans again!:thumbsdown:

Those Australian figures for Celine wouldn't instil promoters with any confidence at all! I can't believe the only venue that came even close to selling out was ACER Arena in Sydney! Brisbane and Perth had woeful attendances! Before anyone says that Celine doesn't have the draw power of Madonna, her tickets were much cheaper and she has the benefit of appealing to mothers and grandmothers. Obviously Madonna would sell infinitely more tickets, but any promoter would have to be a bit worried about bringing an international artist here at the moment.

The two remaining North American concerts would likely have to be two of three different dates: October 9th in NYC, October 16th in Boston, or November 17th in Houston, OR should could add a new city in between Houston and Philadelphia on Nov. 18th. A 2nd date in Houston is unlikely though as she seems to be only doing one night at any stadium show.

I think it is safe to say she will add at least 1 more NYC date. She makes a killing there.

I was thinking she could add Dallas or New Orleans.

Yeah I think she'll add another NY show. They are charging price level 1 to sit in seats which were price level 2 on previous tours there and easily getting away with it there!

A very good source told me that the deal to play 2 shows in Buenos Aires was sealed today.

December 4 and 6, River Plate Stadium.

It just pisses me off that Australia is not being included (so far). Our dollar is almost level with the US dollar now, so promoters can't use the weak dollar as an excuse anymore. AND it's been bloody 15 years since she last toured here. Godammit!

Tina Tuner Tour more longer than this , she did 250 dates at her Wildest Dreams Tour and 176 dates at her Break Every Rule Tour.

Tina has sold more concert tickets than any other solo performer in history. She average performed more than 100 dates per tour.

If M want to break Tina's record or want to beat Celine this year she can do it with only ad more show per tour.

But I think she doesn't care about this. She has family and other more interesting work to do.

Some performers like Celine actually like to give proper tours instead of being a lazy bitch and going to the same places over and over and over and over again and throwing in a one or two extra places here and there. Madonna tours suck as far as destinations are concerned I can't believe she doesn't get bored with it.

This tour should have focused new places Madonna could have made a decent amount of money in Australia.

I hope those two extra north american dates are for New York. The south amercan dates are probably Brazil and Argentina.

As far as Celine goes, she's sooo trying to break M's confessions record, which is why she's touring so long. Good for her, but I can't imagine she's excited singing the same shit for that long. I also can't imagine she gets to spend any real time with her kid, with such a grueling schedule, but whatever right? She's giving bloodsuckers/fans what they want.

Btw, i'm also sick of people who spend their entire day on Madonna forums calling her lazy, when she's clearly (to anyone SANE) one of the hardest working people in the music industry. Madonna was probably up at the crack of dawn rehearsing with her dancers for hours, while her fans whine about her not touring the entire planet......and Australia.

Aww you poor thing you have only got to see Madonna EVERY single time she has toured in NYC. Unbelivable how some ppl can be so careless and thoughtless to those who miss out everytime.

If you don't like reading ppl's opinions then don't read the thread you pathetic twat.

Going to one country hardly means she toured Asia..there are heaps of other Asian countries that Madonna has never bothered with..

Well, Japan is the largest (and most economically advanced) music market in Asia. I think it only makes sense why she has decided to tour there. Plus, her FOUR Japanese concerts during the Confessions Tour made about $19 million altogether. How many other markets in Asia is that going to happen in? Plus, several of them have such strict moral codes (China, Malaysia, etc.) she'd have to change her show to be completely G-rated. Even mounting men wearing saddles got on NBC - that shit won't fly in Southeast Asia.

And who are you to be the arbiter of saying touring just one country discounts an entire continent? I know you are upset she's not coming Down Under, but she's never ever performed in Africa. They have it worse than you.

Aww you poor thing you have only got to see Madonna EVERY single time she has toured in NYC. Unbelivable how some ppl can be so careless and thoughtless to those who miss out everytime.

I don't think people are careless are thoughtless, but it's not like we can do anything if you keep on expressing your disappointment that Madonna doesn't go to Australia. Most fans do agree that it's a big mistake, but I don't think it's going to make a change if you keep on bashing Madonna and some fans here. I know you heard it all before, but Madonna is definitely going back there in the next decade, in my opinion EU & US is exhausted on this tour (except from Northern Europe and Northwest USA), so I can easily see Madonna going to Australia next time around. I know you think it's unfair that if she goes to SA, why not Australia, but remember Madonna is going to tour for 3 and a half months, and this time it's different because she has to travel a lot more. Basically she's jumping from city to city in every 2-3 days, especially in Europe and some of USA too.
