Well, if M can win something in crazy-Mormon-Utah, I guess anything is possible.

Thebigham all these Nu stations played the song for sure? I mean, those are big channels!! They didn't touch Sorry.. And they're playing Give it 2 me even before the radio release??

Look at this from UTAH

http://www.utahsvfx.com/page.php?page_id=10141

Each weeknight @ 8:00pm 3 songs go head-to-head. The Champ (previous nights winner) and The Challengers (2 new music selections). Your votes determine the winner! The phone lines, the text lines, and the e-mail ports are open for 20 minutes. The votes are tallied, and a Champ is crowned! (no main event on Friday nights)

Tune in Monday at 8:00pm. Find out if Madonna can make it 3 nights in a row.

And WPXY is big!

It seems like they want to play it!! It's not even released to radio!

So isnt getting close to 200 spins two weeks before the actual add date good?

maybe if it was close to 200 JUST at pop it would mean something. but 130+ of those spins now are coming from the dance stations which was kind of the case with the later singles from COADF.

here's the link, take a look and select quick cut data

Why do I feel like this is going to be one of those songs that flops, or one of those songs that radio jumps on a half a year after its been out which seems to be the case with alot of songs lately.

it's not a matter of whether people will like the song or not. most people i know LOVE it. it's just a matter of whether radio will play it long enough for people to realize that it exists.

(fingers crossed)

I completely agree... This single is very well recieved even after one listen with pretty much everyone I know that has heard it.

I have actually not had one person say anything negative about the song.. outside of this board.

Give It 2 Me.. will be a successful second single... I just hope radio jumps on it.

I am pretty sure alot of stations are waiting for a friendly radio edit.

:)

i would agree that GI2M is in league of how radio supported the cOADF single - DANCE. its going to be a hit in the dance formats but certainly NOT in the otehr formats. Pop will be mildly supportive of the song...

The song should be released to radio NOW!

4 Minutes is falling rapidly...

HC is falling down fast on the albums chart too

still no promo... and such a wrong 2nd single choice for the US market ... the combination is just :nocomment:

WHY WHY?? HC HAS GOT ALL THE POTENTIAL!

You're telling the truth right? This is the biggest clear channel top40 station in Orlando! Just the fact that stations like that play the song is great! Even if its not in rotation yet

Edit: OMG I just checked the station's site and they have a special page about Give It To Me! That's Clear Channel!

http://www.xl1067.com/main.html See it alone!

Edit2: I just realised that all the Clear Channel top40 stations have special site for Give it 2 Me!!!

Look at www.z100.com!

so this all appears to be good sign. I still think this song is in a VERY different league than Sorry, Jump, GT. This is a great song worthy of a lot of airplay, which the masses, not just hardcore fans will be feeling. Kind of how Music caught on across the board. BS corporate politics will be the only reason this song bombs, or even semi bombs on pop (at the minimum) radio.
