all we can do is sigh... and hope for the best with TBGO... if nothing happens still... we can only hope that with M's 1st Live Nation album, I hope both MADONNA and LN will work together to make the album a success...

a solo Madonna song wont get any USA radio support it seems...

I would hardly say solo. Pharrell does have his parts. I love the song but I knew the second I first heard it that it would never work as a single, though I held out some hope at first.

*although GI2M is my fave track in the album

This proves that 4minutes song was a hit in the USA due to Justina/Timballand collaboration

I am sure that BGO will also have USA radio support due to Kanye's rap

a solo Madonna song wont get any USA radio support it seems...

i disagree. shes done 0, and i mean ZERO, promo for this single. the single isnt even released yet. its so stupid

ok let's admit it now. The song has a cute message but Madonna's delivery is rushed, it has zero charm (compared to her other songs with throw away lyrics) and the production is sloppy. It is like a kitchy combination of Steve Miller's Abracadabra and Rick James' Super Freak that Pharell forgot to bring up to date and just doesn't work. We, the hard core fans, love it because it is like Madonna saying she will never stop and she will keep going, blah blah blah, but to anybody else it sounds silly.

Don't blame radio this time.

I don't blame radio - I blame her. She didn't do ANY promotion for this. She could have called in a few stations, done a few performances. It is HER album, after all.

yeah... she deserves what she is getting... but HARD CANDY deserved a better treatment than this... in the US

its funny. when the album first came out everybody here was crazy about this song. now that its not doing well everybody started to think it was a bad choice for single.

that's how it always goes with Madonna fans :dramatic:

I STILL think it's the BEST song on the album

I am astonished that Madonna is letting GI2M fail without doing some promo for it. She believed in it so much she wanted it to be the first single and even thought to name the whole album after it at one point! What is going on?

GI2M is supposed to be the song that closes her show; does she want a flop song for the finale? I do not think so!

It's a great song, second only to BGO. But I have to not remeber about the video when I listen to it. Sometimes the video can change the way you perceive the song - usually positively (Human Nature), in this case the video turned a crazy, energetic song into a trite song you dance to in nice clothes.

It's not over yet IMO...

We don't know what could happen...

After a hit like 4M is impossible a flop like this... I still hope :)

Cmon, the airplay usually goes down during the weekends!

Yes, but even if AI was twice as high it still would be nothing. I don't understand American radio. In Europe a flop for M is being outside top 5 or top 10, in US outside top 100.

It really sucks because its such a good song!

Yeah, and so was Sorry, Get Together, Jump....We should be used to this by now in America.

I personally think it's because unfortunately in the US, Madonna seems to be considered "over" for the most part. Ever go to pop culture websites like TMZ, the superficial.com, even TIME magazine, and other polls, and see what most Americans think of Madonna?

They think of her along the lines of Gloria Swanson in Sunset Blvd, "I'm ready for my closeup Mr.Demille...." An aging hasbeen.

Don't believe me or think I'm being harsh? Read the polls, it's all there across the board. Lots of negativity and disrespect towards Madonna. Even radio stations, the vj's whatever, this one at z100 NY. said something along the lines of "And that was 4 minutes,...featuring Justin..........and Madonna(said in a fast and low voice way)," and then added, "You know,...it's funny how some artists use other current artists to conjure up a hit,"

I'm not kidding!

I myself am only 26, I'm not a hardcore Madonna fan, but I'm already considered "old and over" by many of my younger types, gay men too.

America is UBER shallow and UBER ghetto.

They're NOT going to like Madonna anymore.

Unless she does something either really ghetto or something uber shallow, or something totally remarkable and amazing.

If she just keeps making Madonna records like the old times,

they're not going to get airplay.

I'm just a newbie though, what do I know.

:dramatic:

But hey cheer up Americans,

this song STILL peaked at #57. right?

So TECHNICALLY, this is a bigger hit than Sorry, Get Together, and Jump!

I mean, Billboard 100 is more important altogether than how the song did at radio or sales alone right?

So relax. It charted! lol. :vanitybonet:

:::looks over at UK charts:::: wow, it's only at #14ish there?!?

wow. What happened with this single?

M needs to release Miles Away - at least the adult radio might play it. She will ony score a big hit with the 1st single of a album - the rest will be top 10 but on the Bubbling Under Charts
