If you look under FAQ on stubhub they explain that happens and its normal, look for the best deal

Like what Dindi had mentioned, get your tickets from ticketmaster instead of getting rip off by these cunts! :dramatic:

BTW - Tina Turner's tickets have just gone on sale via an Oprah pre-sale and her tickets are all over Stubhub.

Even the one concert that's not involved in the pre-sale (i.e. not a single ticket has been put on sale yet via any outlet) in Atlanta, has 224 tickets available on Stubhub, including in the floor sections at the front.

*Clearly*, Stubhub gets its tickets from somewhere and it's not just Madonna shows. I'm willing to bet that they had tickets available for the CT dates before they went on sale, too. Jumping to the conclusion that Madonna is the source of those tickets would mean accepting that other artists provide tickets to the brokers even when they know they're not going to make any extra money out of it (the availability of Tina's tickets proves this). Is this logical?

They have a HUGE AMOUNT OF SEATS ON THE FLOOR AND LODGE- More than 1,000 now!!! THOSE ARE THE BEST SEATS IN THE ARENA!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO scattering in each section

Where are you getting those figures from? There are about 1100 available across the two MSG concerts now, according to my freshly re-loaded browser, and they're scattered throughout the whole venue across the two nights (563 on night and 530 or so the other night). There are about 220 on the floor one one night and maybe 40 in the loges, with most loges only containing 4 or so seats.

Come to think of it I kind of remember looking for tickets before they went on sale at ticketmaster for the CT and I came across a scalper site selling tickets for her NYC show for obscene prices and I was about to plunk down the cash and go for it thinking "Gee this must be what they are going for" until I decided to join here (this is the reason why I joined this forum to start with) to get more info and I was told not to get from here but wait for ticketmaster since that was legit. Now how did that scalper site get those before the tickets even went on sale?

Yes, to receive profit from them....not to provide them with tickets.

Explain the Tina Turner tickets on sale, please :)

Right. Like someone really has a use for buying 47 fucking seats.

You basically cant see that the majority of tickets their selling are THE FLOOR AND LODGE -BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE

I can see that there are about 1100 tickets available for two concerts, but you're claiming that there are 1000 tickets available for one concert and they're on the floor/Loges! One of us is wrong.

I have a question. How in the world are seats available when they still don't know the stage setup? I'm looking at the Toronto StubHub site and they already have a seating plan which includes right, left and center floors. Wouldn't the positions of these floor seats depend on the final setup?

Its a no brainer, Madonna has a deal with them, its common sense that she can provide them with tickets, thats a no brainer

Seriously Carta, I don't think you're an asshole or anything, but give me a break. Madonna signing a contract with a highclass scalper website is just kind of tacky no matter how you spin it. Would you defend Madonna for making money off the guys on Ebay? It's the same thing. She's just looking for new ways to make sure everyone is putting money into her piggy bank and it just looks and sounds bizzare. Period.

Right. Like someone really has a use for buying 47 fucking seats.

A scalper will buy them and sell them for a massive profit.

Surely there are 47 people in NYC on this list - perfect excuse for a party - 47 people get into the concert for the price of about 7 people.

The argument is that Madonna is providing these tickets to stubhub so that she can somehow make more profit than she normally would, but that doesn't explain why other artists who don't have a deal with stubhub find their tickets on sale prior to a single ticket being sold.

Maybe there are greater forces at work here and Madonna is just making the most of a sticky situation. Clearly, all of these tickets would have been available at stubhub without this deal and as I said before, the availability of Tina Turner tickets prior to their official release is proof of this. There's no denying that Madonna is taking advantage of the situation, but I doubt she's the one providing the tickets.

Don't you understand? This is a website by scalpers for scalpers. This particular deal will most likely sell to a another scalper who will then sell all 47 of those tickets for varying price. Who knows how those 47 tickets got into the original seller's hands in the first place. I can assure that hes probably not taking a loss on them despite what it looks like. This is the business Madonna is sticking her nose into.

I just noticed that the ticket listings available on StubHub are from many different sellers. Could some of these be tickets reserved for radio station promos, and corporate tickets? Otherwise, I'm perplexed how they got hold of advance tickets other than the obvious inside deal with Live Nation.

Why bother listing them publicly in the first place, then? Why not do a deal with another scalper offline?

All it would take would be for one person to fork out $2300 to cover all costs, then get 46 of their friends to give them $50 each and the scalpers are thwarted. Madonna then gets a cut and the scalpers dip out (the ones who would have bought the 47 tickets).

I think we all just need to wait for more information to come out before we make any kind of judgements no matter if we are defending this move or not. Simple as that.

There 3 different price for the same row in the same section, for example:

Section: Floor 2

Row: D

1st seller is selling at US$43 LINK

This one's fishy. Besides that unusually low price, he/she has 47 tickets available for that row?! That's impossible. One row in that section only holds around 14 seats max!

U CAN SAY THAT AGAIN

BYTCH/NYGGA IVING OFF HER FAM TRUST FUND

Oh if only you knew the truth....

Just call me the other side of the coin - the one who tells the other side of the story when everyone only wants to hear one side

I love how anyone who disagrees with the majority in here is automatically a "loon" :) I see no one has bothered commenting on the fact that Tina Turner's tickets are already available, too, even though she has no deal with stubhub. Something fishy is going on, yet no one seems interested in finding out exactly what. It's far easier to assume that Madonna is providing the tickets to stubhub than it is to think about where they're actually coming from, isn't it?

That was sort of the question I had posted earlier but nobody answered. How would specific floor seats be already available when they haven't decided on the final stage setup yet?

Everyone should calm down. I think what this does is take away business from ticketbrokers rather than the usual ticketbuyers like us. I don't think it will affect fans like us who participate in presales or know how Ticketmaster operates. We will still be able to get the tickets the way we used to but face it, there are a lot of people out there who would rather pay triple the price then fight for tickets on Ticketmaster nor have the time to check every 2 hours if new tickets have been released. There are rich folks who just can't be bothered. There are corporate buyers who buy to give away to clients and pay any price for tickets. There are casinos, hotels who buy and give these tickets away. There is a market for this and instead of ticketbrokers making money off it, artists will start doing it themselves. Madonna may have been the first but I have read articles about this awhile ago that this is the way the concert business was going to go. Sports teams have already been doing this. These ticketbrokers are making so much money without benefit to the artist and the tour promoter. This way, they get a piece of the action. If Stubhub is directly affiliated with Madonna & Live Nation, then ticketbuyers who are willing to pay these prices would rather go to them then some anonymous ticketbroker online. And I'm sure if there are remaining unsold tickets, Stubhub will give them back to Ticketmaster to sell and that's where we will get these last minute suddenly available seats.

Madonna has a fucking deal with scalpers while tina turner doesn't. End of the story. Bitch wants money $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

That doesn't explain how Tina Turner's tickets are already on sale at stubhub before they've been put on sale to the general public, does it?

How??? Where are these tickets coming from?

But is bitch providing them with tickets or is she only going to profit from the tickets that they get on their own? That I think makes all the difference. And judging by all the questions being asked in this thread, we seem to know jackshit yet about any of this.
