There could easily be a few more songs that end up outselling 4M as well. Top 10 is certainly possible but not guaranteed. goldtooth Posted June 18, 2008 Share Posted June 18, 2008 i think coldplay is more of an "album act" though. now that their album is out, i think their single sales will weaken. unfortunately, madonna has become a "singles act" (or maybe she always was). is this the first time she's had a single sell more copies than the actual album? Yes. In fact all of her studio albums in the soundscan era have outsold all their respective singles combined. But then again this is her first album that has been released in such a saturated singles market. The first single outselling the album has become the case more often than not.
