Okay this is what I dont get. The gap between Mariah was not all THAt big their first week of downloads and Mariah still pulled ahead of Madonna by 60,000 downloads, but the gap between them for most of the week this week was pretty big so maybe Madonna could pull off a 90,000 lead..............Ugh this waiting stinks.

the gap between MARIAH and MADONNA sunday last week was like MADONNA and LEONA around friday and satruday

When people download Leona's full album, does it also count as a single sale for BL?

nope... it will count for the album... if they click BUY ALBUM...

but i've seen a new choice like BUY ALL SONGS... that option may be counted individually

i think we can expect a #2 for 4 Minutes this week in the Hot100 as AI for TMB is still strong...

but the best week 4M can be #1 is next week as AI for 4M is steadily increasing and downloads is still high.

she failed.

As far as #1 is concerned at least, I don't think it's going any higher than this week. It's burned through a lot of consumers already, it's gonna drop now. Oh well, bummer :p

4 minutes will be #3 (or #4) on HOT100 again.

Seriously, USA Madonna fans are flop fans!!!!!

Better to learn something of the lambs!!!!!

#3 is a great achievement!

And Warner does not suck, how can someone tell that when they helped Madonna be the biggest female artist ever?!

This is a great sucess no matter what! :)

Its the bad timing and lack of radio support again. WB should have waited. She coudve had 300.000 - 400.000 debuting sales week, if released to iTunes a few week later than it was. SUREFIRE NO 1.

Based on the 2 weeks sales the demand for this songs was HUGE! Even without virtually no airplay.

LEONA will be No 1 this week, her airplay and sales are growing faster than Madonnas, so no chance anymore.

Bye, bye to much deserved No 1.

Does that mean that if Mariah had waited until this week, she would have had 400k sales as well? It's impossible to know how many copies would have been sold if the track had been issued in a different week. The fact remains that it's selling by the truckload and airplay is still increasing, which means more and more people are hearing it every day. Who know where it will be next week?

So I guess we can say that the popularity bar in iTunes is fairly accurate... again these numbers are not just iTunes'...

USHER and SPARKS is just a little above half of 4 MINUTES, which is what we have seen most the past week...

it is the sales decline of USHER & SPARKS that threw most of our predictions off...

we saw MARIAH selling less than LIL WAYNE even just for a few days, yet she is indeed lower than almost 20k...

1. Touch My Body - 119M + 168k = 287M (shoot 4M just fell short 35k copies)

2. Bleeding Love - 60M + 200k = 260M

3. 4 Minutes - 37M + 216k = 253M (another close call at #2, well most of you didn't want it so there you go)

4. Love In This Club = 130M + 117k = 247M

4M's sales average for the week is 30,851/day... from the previous 6-day period of 36,000/day...

seeing that USHER's sales are still declining and Bleeding Love will most probably fade after this week, and no question about it, TMB will further go down... I think TMB will not benefit anymore from the AI and Oprah appearance... and MADONNA will still have a chance IF she actually start doing promo... her next best chance will be the next 3 weeks starting next week we should all be happy that 4M sold 200k+ in 2 weeks, that's a tough achievement for our M, she's actually going to outsell TMB... so hold on to your autoclickers guys

:chuckle:

Some of you really suck ass. All you do it bitch and moan and you're never happy. You act like a bunch of crazy drama queens. Seriously get a life, your level of negativity is really pathetic.

Agreed! I maybe a newbie on this board but I have been a Madonna fan since Borderline and watched closely her career and her chart achievements. And that gives me the right to tell you this: Madonna is pulling a big success with 4 Minutes. Amazing sales so far and steadily increasing airplay. This is a great first single from an album. Much much better than the silly American Life or the irrelevant to US Hung Up. Just shut up and keep supporting her and the song.

4,000 airplay? hmmm... the streamings must have contributed there, congrats VB and GITM...

she is just 37M or 3,700 airplay in BDS audimps...

I'd rather a #2 peak than a #3 one. Even though #2 is frustrating, it means that only one other song was bigger at the time, and that's better than two others being bigger, right? :)

Well, 4M continues to sell well so I think it will do at least 200 downloads this week. And if the airplay climbs to 60 then it has a great chance of hitting #1. TMB is freefalling, it will sell less than 140 this week and BL has reached it's peak I think(still it will be a close fight with 4M) :dramatic:

yeah, and we don't know how long LEONA can sustain her download strength...

it hasn't even dislodged 4M yet with all the buzz she has generated...

the only problem is airplay...

4M is M's biggest hit since Music, and only 3 songs have ranked higher in the LAST 15 YEARS (Music, Take a Bow, and Frozen).

I'll take it. To be honest, I didn't think there was a way for 4M to have an overall gain this week (sales were steady while airplay increased), and she did it.
