HolidayGuy
We don't know what 4M airplay numbers will be for the next 5 days (Fri-Tues), but it more than likely will debut on Hot 100 Airplay- now, whether it's high enough to enter the Hot 100 for next week, time will tell. Digital sales of 80K would not be enough for top 5 on the digital chart- I mean, "Hung Up" debuted at No. 6 in sales when the song hit radio that same week- we can't really compare sales numbers, since the digital market has EXPLODED since 2005. But, I wouldn't be surprised at all if 4M scans more than 80K its first week out.
Gus
Digital sales of 80K would not be enough for top 5 on the digital chart- Yeah,i think Janet's Feedback sold 80K 2 weeks ago and landed at #8. Edited March 21, 2008 by Gus
madonno83
The video should help with sales too once it is released. I'm sure tons of people will view it online.

That seems like such a high figure to me though. I don't know, maybe I'm being needlessly conservative.
iasonas
They should have sent it on the radio on Monday(10th of March), then the video this last Monday(17), and then the digital release next Monday(24). She would have more that 180.000 sales I guess..and airplay around 35AI. A top2 or top1 would be more possible!!! Now, we know for sure that 4 minutes will be top10 next week, Mariah will be no1 and they will both break an Elvis record...... Brisy_Boy
Well... who knows Maybe the video will be out next week... the infos about the video are all very distante this time... there are no official anouncement... or maybe next week there will be a teaser for the video premiere during the whole week and we get a video premier the following week... this would be even better
Guest ercos
AI is now at 25M AI possibly enought o debut in the top70's. With a possible 45M AI next week and 100k downloads, it can push the song to top10 on the April 4 edition. True, if AI slows down after three weeks, it may not reach #1. Love In This Club easily climbed to / reached #1 because of good airplay and 200k downloads.

Nightshade
and she dropped to 15! Don't be fooled, Mariah still has a bullet. And if her sales are good on iTunes this week she'll undoubtedly be #1 on the Hot 100 next week. What I wouldn't give for Usher, Leona, or - by some miracle - Madonna to stop her. Can any other chart people make me feel better by saying it won't be that easy for her? I have a feeling it will be.

karbatal
Then, with all this airplay and future itunes sales... i wonder why isn't it sure that she will be higher than the number 7 that Hung Up got only with sales. Are 4M itunes sales going to be lower? If there is more exposure and more people like the song, then they have to be bigger, because only megafans bought Hung Up in USA: radio stations didn't play it.
