"You'll See" indeed peaked at #10 on Hot 100 Airplay, which I always thought was a disappointment, considering how radio-friendly the track is and was promoted as the follow-up to a song that spent 9 weeks at #1 on Airplay.

Thanks for the update HG! I'm surprised that there are weeks when "Die Another Day" gets no spins at all!

That was exactly my point, with the video, Madonna & Warners seemed to make everyone forget that she scored 2 huge flops and they continued the bullfighter story wrapped in a typical diva ballad route...

Are No. 42 and No. 46 peaks "huge" flops, though? I guess coming off of a No. 1 hit- but, those two singles certainly weren't very commercial, so not like they would have been big hits (I know we had the discussion before, about WB investing lots of $ into the BS video- but surely they knew it wouldn't be a big hit, unless their hearing was off).

Well, they were her first singles that missed the Top 40 and "Bedtime Story" spent only 1 week on Hot 100 Airplay which is indeed a huge flop if you compare it to "Take A Bow. Of course they didn't predict that one and "Human Nature" to be as big as "Secret" or "Take A Bow", but I think we can agree that they didn't expect Madonna to miss out the Top 40 at the very least, especially with the high budget video, as we noted in our previous discussion.

Yeah, but they both peaked in the 41-50 range, which is pretty close to cracking the top 40. I always personally thought the top 50 should be the yardstick for success measure, since that's half the chart.

"Human Nature" was the more sizable hit over "Bedtime Story"- while it wasn't anywhere as commercially appeaking as TAB, it definitely was more commercial than BStory. It spent several weeks in the 46-50 range on the Hot 100, and spent 8 more weeks on the chart than BStory did.

It is a crime how little airplay HU got during it's run on the charts. And I'm always surprised at how low Like A Virgin ranks in recurring airplay being that it's one of her bona fide "classics".
