FULL REPORT from July 2 NYC show....

BY JPASC24

New York City was ON tonight as Madonna hit the stage at 8:50 PM. The audience was WAY louder and WAY crazier than the first 2 NY shows and Madonna was loving.

Celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Lenny Kravitz (AGAIN!), Lucy Lui, David Blaine & NY mayor Bloomberg were in the audience as Madonna rocked the house.

What would be a Madonna show without a little drama? During GET TOGETHER, while M was on the catwalk someone in the audience was throwing confetti and glitter all over the catwalk, OBVIOUSLY a dangerous thing for the dancers and Lady M. Before JUMP, Madonna said "Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to our show. PLEASE don't throw things on this stage, Its dangerous! The show has just begun". Later on in the show, someone threw a shirt on the stage and she yelled "Stop fucking throwing shit up here.....Where do you think you are!?"

The show was OFF THE HOOK tonight and Lady M had crazy energy! A fun time for all!

Yes, tonight was F*ing AMAZING!!!!!!!

I almost sat next to David Blaine but he was moved to the other side of the row. Thank God so he wouldn't think of how dorky I was by all the jumping and rocking I did.

Question to those who were also there: what song did she sing a bit of while resting after "Let It Will Be"? I couldn't hear the words. She sang a couple lines with the band doing a little thing. Then she stopped and said something like "I love playing New York and New Yorkers are intense...but I'm f*cking Exhausted!!"

Her father and stepmother were also there; they were escorted in. I also saw Guy but didn't say anything to him so he wouldn't be "annoyed".

She was having so much fun, she kept coming to the B stage with such a Big Smile!

It's only at times like this that I love my job!!!

Note - the song she sung before LIWB was Frank Sinatra's New York New York. I would have so loved to hear her sing that. I am glad she is becoming more relaxed with the audience.

The show was absolutelyfuckingwonderful!!! The crowd at the 2nd show (June 29) was very good, but this crowd & show was even better! And Madonna was chatting more with the audience and doing some random things like the "New York New York" singing.

I was seated 2nd row in front of the catwalk. The view is very different from being against the catwalk or close to the mainstage, but still a great view!!! Just about any seat on the floor is very hot! I felt like I was really watching the whole "show" from there. And all those times she came down the catwalk/ministage had so much impact that it almost felt like he was there the whole night! Jesus!

Some nut on the left front floor threw some glitter in the air early on in the night (at first I thought it was a new addition to the show) and it pissed her off. She was telling us before JUMP not to throw crap in the air and on stage because it's dangerous. She was also saying before RAY OF LIGHT she has to watch her language because LOLA is in the audience but she was cursing throught the show anyway  Oh the audience did the bus stop chant at this show :rotfl: I love that shit! My mother (I took her to the show) never even heard that chant and was doing it too. My mother absolutely adored the show. The religious stuff didn't offend her at all and she "got it". She was quite moved by it actually.

Lenny Kravitz, David Blaine, Lucy Liu were all seated in the row in front of me! Lenny Kravitz was directly in front of me the whole night. Now I can die and go to heaven saying that I spent the night up behind Lenny's ass for a sweaty couple of hours :flirt: It was so funny when he came into the pod section. Security enclosed our area with barricades ... my mother was asking why so many people were swarming around our area and pressing against the barricade taking pics. My mother didn't even know who Lenny is, but she was thrilled to know his mother was the late actress Roxie Roker who played "Helen" (Weezee's best friend) on "The Jeffersons"  Lenny stood through the whole show. He wasn't jumping and waving his arms, but was bopping his head a lot. David Blaine stood most of the time but I wasn't paying much attention to him because I didn't realize it was him till the show was over. He had a cap on. Lucy Liu was dancing up a storm (with a boyfriend, dunno who he was) for the whole show. She was very, very into it! She was dancing like the 'Beautiful Stranger' video! She was so cute! :wow:

I LOVE NEW YORK got a better reaction, but ROL afterwards still got a bigger, humongous reaction. I was really feeling the floor shake. She looks so hot during LET IT WILL BE when she kicks furiously, throws herself around and thrashes around on the stage! Hot hot hot!!! When the discoball opened up for FUTURE LOVERS she had this huge grin on her face. There was so much more to this show, I'll try to add more later.

Oh and here's one of my pics from the show. This is one of my favorite pics I've ever taken at a Madonna concert: -link to huge pic-

The show was absolutely great great great! I remember on the RIT the Sunday night show being better than the other NY shows and having a more exuberant crowd. I :inlove: Esther

Oh and I forgot to mention that when Madonna introduced Isaac, she told him "Try not to be OFF KEY tonight" :rotfl: Then she said "just kidding" after a real long pause, but she sounded sarcastic.

I have a bunch more pics but they're going to have to wait till at least tomorrow or so! The back of David Blaine's damn shaved head needs to be cropped out of some of them  You can count the peach fuzz on Madonna's arms in some pics! I'm surprised I was able to zoom to the mainstage from 1/2 way down the floor and get some decent pics from that far back. My other older pocket digital camera could never do that. Anyway, here's a few pics to tie you all over till later this week:

The July 2nd show was fantastic. I will write more later cuz I just got back home. I am SO happy I got to meet Slyguy, JR and bedtimestorynyc. All the people I most wanted to meet and it was worth it. Slyguy, I do wish we could have hung out more but it was nice chatting with you. I had great seats but you had AWESOME seats. JR and bedtimestorynyc, it was GREAT hanging out with you two for hours afterwards. All of you are so nice and fun. If only I was in town longer!

Don't make me use the F word!

Madonna's third night at Madison Square Garden was HOT - the holiday weekend audience were wild and Madonna was in top form. Below are a few fan report highlights - to read the full versions visit the New York City Fan Reviews section.

From C-J:

When we first sat down we were pissed thinking that the seats (side stage) were horrible but once the show began there were only a small handful of times that we looked up on the big screen to see what was going on (the biggest time was during 'Live To Tell' because we were looking at the back of the Cross.)

During the interlude for 'Live To Tell' we could actually see her crawl onto the cross from the bottom and have a couple of people get her situated before it began to rise.

Another funny thing was just before 'Music/Disco Inferno' I could see everyone below the stage on their skates. When the music started Cloud was playing air guitar and stopped just before that part of the stage began to rise.

From DJ Danny Echi:

During 'Get Together' three rows up in front of me, on the left hand side of the stage, a fan threw up in the air a large amount of rainbow confetti. The timing was perfect. As Madonna sang on the catwalk, the line 'It's a illusion I don't care', the confetti was thrown up in the air falling on her. It was such a cool effect. For a second I thought it was a new part of the show. The fan not only threw it once but twice during 'Get Together'.

The second time she looked up in the air to see where it was coming from. The look on her face was a moment. She didn't like it.

From Fernando:

After Get Together and before starting JUMP, Madge told the audience, 'Please do not throw anything onto the stage as it could be dangerous, BUT the night is young and the show has just begun!'

Right after I LOVE NEW YORK (the crowd went CRAZY) she told the audience, 'You guys gotta stop making me curse, my daughter is watching the show tonight' Yes, Lola was definitely watching. But then she said, 'I TOLD YOU GUYS TO STOP THROWING SHIT ON MY STAGE, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK THIS IS?!' That was hilarious and just awesome.

From Sammy:

Only twice did Madonna get miffed with the crowd....during Get Together someone threw confetti into the air over the stage (which looked great but was very dangerous) and when someone else threw a t-shirt at her. In true Madonna form, Madonna yelled 'Stop throwing s**t on my stage! Where do you think you are?!' My favorite moment was at the end of Let It Will Be, Madonna rolled over on her back and began singing New York, New York and giving random chorus line kicks into the air.

The crowd (including Lenny Kravitz, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lucy Lui, David Blaine, Mayor Bloomberg, Guy, Lola and Madonna's dad and step mom) loved it!

From Scotty P:

After a particularly wild Let It Will Be, she was downright giddy. She started singing Frank Sinatra's New York, New York, and she was cracking herself up....'These little town blues, are melting away, I'm gonna make a brand new start of it - in old New York, If I can make it there, I'm gonna make it anywhere, It's up to you - New York, New York.' Then she said, 'There's something about doing a show for a New York audience....the energy is so fuckin' intense, you just gotta go with it, but now I'm fucking exhuasted!'

From Steve:

A huge ball of confetti and glitter came down during 'Get Together,' and M evacuated the area, while they mopped it up. I guess a fan threw it. Then someone threw a jacket. Before 'I Love New York,' she said: 'Don't make me use the F word, because my daughter's in the audience! But DO NOT throw fucking shit on my stage. It is unsafe for the dancers.' And someone threw a bottle cap. The whole night was like that - a hot show, but an over the top crowd.

From Wellington:

Well everyone was there, I saw many of her crew, her makeup artist walking around, her hair dresser, her dresser Tony who I took a picture with and Guy Oseary who I shook hands with. Lenny Kravitz, Lucy Liu and Chris Rock were the celebrities that I could spot. Overall an amazing night!
