well I hope when Live Nation were counting up the money they felt pleased with themselves. They managed to alienate thousands of fan by selling
full price tickets with shitty views that should never have been sold. Add to that the crap sound quality I would pretty much say people in the UK
would be very wary about partying with their hard earned cash in a hurry. Its all very well for Live Nation to gloat about how much money a show has made but it leaves a nasty aftertaste with fans who feel they were ripped off with a sub standard show. If she is wise next time she she tours, she will skip Stadiums and play arenas and employ someone who knows something about sound quality.
Very true mate. Imagine you were a single mother, struggling to make money. Your bills and food prices have gone up because of the economic climate but you've managed to save up, treat yourself and see your favourite artist in concert. You've been looking forward to it for weeks but have to put up with TERRIBLE sound quality and SHITTY views. Then Madonna and Live Nation DENY anything's wrong, make you call their 0870 number to complain and then are REFUSED a refund.
It is DISGUSTING the way they treated fans at Wembley. Which is why I'm not suprised if Madonna has lost at least a third of her British fanbase after this. I for one am glad Miles Away has barely made the Top 40. Until she pulls her finger out of her arse, many will feel the same way.

Luckily COAD saved her career, which was part ingenuity, part FLUKE.

QB, you're a very strange character. You seem to be genuinely delighted that for the first time *ever* a Madonna single is going to miss the UK Top 20. You were forced to eat your words when your dire predictions for the previous two singles failed to eventuate, but now it seems as though you're hell bent on blowing your own trumpet because you *finally* got it right.
As for Kylie being guaranteed at least Top 15 for The One if it had been released physically, I doubt it - In My Arms barely made it to the Top 10, so the next release was never guaranteed anything. Perhaps your true colours are shining through now ;-)

I'm sorry but face facts. You can't excrete a steaming pile of turd and expect it to reach the upper echelons of the major music markets without any promotion or video. That's not how the business works. Would you expect to get a job if you didn't bother turning up for the interview? The DIRE chart placing of Miles Away is WELL DESERVED. And her UK fan base will unfortunately continue to dwindle if she continues to release such shit - and then have the AUDACITY to expect the British public to PAY to download/buy it, especially when money is tight.
Hard Candy has been UNPROFITABLE since the release of GITM.

S&S might not go down in Madonna folklore as one of her greatest shows but the tour will interestingly remembered for a couple of things.
1. The greatest number of technical fuck-ups since BAT. Sound issues, ticket refunds, roof collapsing... and those fucking screens. How many times have they played up now? Perhaps Guy has a voo-doo doll and is cursing her?
2. The number of deviations from the original show. RIT and CT were pretty much standard from city-to-city whereas on this tour we've had a tribute to Obama, different request songs each night, a Pharrell performance and now Britney and Justin.

This is gonna TANK - I reckon she'll be relegated to the realms of acts who are big on the concert circuit with the new LiveNation deal - she'll have the odd hit single occasionally but the HC era has proved she's no longer relevant as a recording artist. SO jaded. Love it!
P.S. If S&S gets an American broadcast, does anyone think any of the terrestrials will pick it up after the FLOP ratings of CT on Channel Four?
