Well, no one outside her fan base cares about the new albums either. So by that logic she should just always give Papa Don’t Preach? How about she performs for the fans and stop worrying about general public! I’m not saying ditch the classics! Of course not. But incorporating songs we all love, such as Sky Fits Heaven, Love Profusion, Nothing Fails (with an epic choir), Jump, even Miles Away and more, would make fans go crazy and will give general public music material they will want to download when they get home!! Her newer albums have incredible songs that general public rarely had a chance to hear, and that’s a shame! People are stuck on Like A Virgin, when there is material that is more recent that is just as good if not better!!

I don't believe she tours "worrying about the general public".  Let's think about some of her tours of the past.  On the Drowned World Tour, she was criticized for only playing the new music. But we can go back even further than that.  The Girlie Show was hardly something for the "general public".  I'm referring to the tone of the show.  I certainly do not think she was thinking of the "General public" when she performed her LIKE A VIRGIN performance on Blond Ambition either.  And what about "Candy Shop"?  Hardly a fan favorite, and who in the "general public" even knows that song?  She still performed for three tours in a row.  So again, I don't think she's really concerned about what the "General public" thinks.  Besides, all of her tours tend to be heavy with whatever the latest album is.  That's always been her deal.  She's been known to cast aside classic songs in the past to perform newer songs.  Yet, she manages to stick a few classic in there, but she's said it all a long, she's tired of the usual iconic songs she's expected to sing such as "Holiday", "Like A Virgin" and "Material Girl".

But let's be realistic here.. when you go out on tour with a base of fans who are from different generations and latched on because of specific eras, there's a bit of,  "Oh crap, I better perform that song".   I'm sure it's just not her.  I'm sure the touring company and people around her remind her as well.  This is what happens when you are a legend in music and people latch on to certain songs especially from the past.  Not only that, her tours just don't attract the core fans. She does attract the "general public" and sorry to say, but these people want to hear those classic songs.  From a business side of it, you have to give in to some of the classics if you want to keep the audiences coming back.

Though, I really don't think she does play to the general public because again, her tours tend to be focused on the new material of the time.  And with the huge catalog she has, and for a two hour show, you only can feature so many songs as it is. I guess that I would feel weird to show up to a Madonna concert even as a hard core fan and all of a sudden she's only singing album songs like "Love Tried to Welcome Me", "Jimmy Jimmy", and "Push".   I certainly would love to hear a few obscure songs, but she's Madonna.  I want to hear the new stuff and yes, some of the older classics. I don't really know too many artists who just perform obscure old album songs no one knows over their classics.

    Oh fuck off

I'm sorry? Was that necessary?  🤔  My comments weren't meant to be critical of Madonna. My apologies if you thought so.  I have no issues with the title of her albums.  It's just that I don't think "Magic" is too far fetched for a Madonna album as some might think.  Most of her album titles have been simple and to the point.

I don’t think she’s naming her album magic At this point. Assuming she was at all. She doesn’t like being predictable at that kind of importance; and her fandom has convinced itself she will name it so lolol. The albums not even done . She will  likely do something unexpected.

But most of her album titles have been pretty simple, basic and to the point.  "Music"?? "Ray of Light"??  "True Blue"??

Hey, don't sweat it.  I understand your concern. I just don't buy the claim of the "Collector".  That said, if it is the case, I'm sure her or her team knows now because we fans are quite vocal and since this has been brought up, it's been mentioned on her instagram, and I'm sure people have alerted her manager by now.  😉

No it's not dramatic, we are looking out for her unlike some other "fans" who I am sure behind the scenes are trying to share the music she has not yet finished. They call themselves fans but they're just selfish assholes who are happy to sabotage her for their selfish reasons becaue they can't wait a couple of months. Pathetic and disgusting if you ask me and they deserve to go to jail!

But as other mentioned, nothing has leaked.  Again, I understand the concern.  I'm sure Madonna is well aware of the concern as well.  I just wish fans would put this much effort and concern in other issues like spreading false stories (such as this one) regarding Madonna.  😉

    exactly.

and what we said in the previous thread is separate from reddit. im not sure why some people confuse the two or don't get the point here. if there's any chance someone might truly have the song, I think it's important that M is aware so she can privately take care of possible more leaks happening. remember, they jailed some Israeli guy, which is bullshit even if he leaked it. it never should reach him in the first place and it's THAT person or situation that they gotta fix. (or already should have fixed it)

I'm sure she's (and/or her team) is aware of this nonsense article and this person's claims.  And it's very nice for fans to be concerned, but at this point I feel like it's becoming a bit more dramatic then it needs to be.  Obviously, someone is playing on the worries of some fans' concern of another leak.  Again, you have every right to be concerned, but let's remember we have people even within the fan base who likes to mislead and trick fans into believing things.

  7. Meanwhile Madonns is working diligently on her new album, while the rest of her fan base is distracted with this sensational nonsense that her music has leaked.  It's like Donald Trump is her publicist and spreading lies, keeping us distracted from the real story, while Madonna works successfully and privately on her album.

maybe this will force Madonna to make a tiny instagram statement about wheres shes at with her album

Why should be "forced" to do so?  I thought most fans wanted her to just drop the album when it's ready without much hint or spilling too much about it?  I would think the less people knew about it, then the less chance people will be able to access it if it's even digitally easily accessible!

Wait until that press find a link to the fanmade artwork on this forum ... thinking it is real ... 💩

Unfortunately, there are fans who are purposely trying to get that to happen.  They think it's funny to see the press pick up on fake stories/images.  To me, that isn't helping Madonna at all.  Because the regular folks do not pay that close attention to the what is fake and what is not regarding Madonna, so they may just believe it without thinking twice about it, especially if they have a negative perception of her as it is.

It's kinda sad that these media sources are actually reprinting the Reddit garbage.  And even more sadder that some rely on these sources as if they spill the truth. 😞

  10. I don't believe the Met Gala was meant for a stepping stone for what's to come.  I just think it was a one off deal which pretty much the fan base knows about, hoping for more footage of an event that isn't meant for the public. I think Madonna is proud how it turned out and now is using it to generate a little positive publicity and possibly generate a bit of anticipation for her new album.

She films everything, but not everything is intended for the fans or the public.  Though a part of me is wishing she's been filming aspects of her life for the last few years for some retrospective documentary.  Wishful thinking on my part, but there was some footage that I'd love in High quality before and during the Rebel Heart tour. For instance, that whole surprise appearance in France after the tragic terror attack and the Hillary Clinton support concert in Central Park.  She also filmed some great footage in Cuba a couple a years back on her Birthday as well as more recently some cool local performances in Portugal.

We haven't heard it though, we've heard a verse recorded on a smart phone at a live event which wasn't meant to be publicly seen. We have no idea if it's 1st single material, or ever intended to be. We know nothing!

Yeah, I don't get how anyone can determine from a low audio/footage clip of BG that it is not 1st single worthy. I have a feeling she just used part of that new song because she felt it fit well in between LAP and Hallelujah.  Met Gala wasn't intended to be seen, so I don't believe she was testing anything.  If anything, maybe she knew it would create a stir from the fanbase, making us anticipate something new even more.

People getting upset by imaginary timelines they created.

Exactly.  Madonna never set any timeline other than "Soon".  And from previous experience when she used "Soon", we should know that be 6 months from now.

I don't think we'll see a new album until the fall.  The first single probably won't drop until late summer or early fall.

  12. She also got a writing credit for Don't Tell Me which was entirely written by Joe Henry. Enough said.

I don't know how my post have had a "sacastic" tone towards Madonna and her recent work. I don't see that. Neither should you. Unless you have a different definition for sarcasm (I think that's what you meant).

Why can't I come and critcize Madonna? And why is that criticism "grade A bullshit"?

Instead of being 3rd grader, argue against me. Show me what you've got. That's called discussion. Can you participate? Or just repeat what I've said and say "bullshit" in different ways? You're not putting much "effort" ( :p ) into bringing something worthwhile this discussion.

You know what? I'm all for one expressing their opinion on a public forum, but it's pretty safe to say when you enter a community called MADONNANATION, it's expected you're gonna get some opposition from fans who question your motives and why you come here (with very few posts, I might add) and seem to be pointing out the negatives about Madonna rather your appreciation. Of course, I don't expect any fan to love everything she does, but it's just a bit peculiar that someone with less than 30 post (at the time of the post I'm quoting), has done more criticizing Madonna's career.

And yes, you implied I was trying to shame you for enjoying ROL, LAP and EROTICA. Yet, you turn around and pretty much did the same by stating that you're not some "brainwashed idiot" fan. You can say it was a general response, but again, the purpose of saying that was for what? Also, all your posts seem to keep criticizing Madonna while subtly making digs at her fans. Hmmm?
