  1. 1- God Control 2- Batuka 3- I Don't Search I Find 4- Crave 5- Come Alive
  2. I like this part a lot both melodically and lyrically. I wish it was there in the original song instead of Quavo's remix.
  3. I watched it about 5 times in total and each time I cried during the last minute.. It is my favourite song on the album and the video does it justice.
  4. I think the top 5 will be : God Control, I Don't Search I Find, Looking for Mercy, Crave,Medellin..
  5. I was really pumped for this when I saw it in the tracklist but this one was a dissapointment for me. I liked the demo a lot, thought it was really catchy but a lot of that quality was lost on this version. It almost felt like when I first heard some Rebel Heart demos and then heard the album versions which for me did some of those melodies disservice with their production. So maybe hearing a demo of somethng before the final version is never a good idea!
  6. Can't wait. I think God Control will be the winner for sure and I predict that I Don't Search I Find will also be in the Top 3.
  7. At the end of the day this is my favourite song from the album. It's such a powerful song. I'm actually surprised that not more people list it as their favorite. The production is so inricate. Even though the melody that runs through these lines: '' i was up all night, i said a little prayer. get that old man put him in a jail'' is the same, because there is a change of key during ''get that old man'', it seems like the melody shifts almost. I love little things like that
  8. I have to make some modifications. I have decided Crave is definitely a highlight. It seems to be such a simple song but hasn't lost it's impact on me at all. I think it's up there with the best of her pure pop songs. Anyway here is my final list: 1- God Control 2- Batuka 3- I Don't Search I Find 4- Crave 5- Looking For Mercy
  9. I mean this is something huge to say, and I wouldn't predict it before listening to the album at all. But I can totally imagine there would be days I would prefer to listen to this rather than Music, Confessions or anything that comes after in her discography. I don't know how this will rank after all is said and done,as it still has the freshness factor to it. But I will say that it includes some of her best work with Mirwais. I actually made a playlist and I Don't Search I Find fits beautifully between Vogue and Justify My Love and it doesn't sound like a lesser song at all. It's THAT good
  10. I can't get over this song and I wonder if I'm the only one having an emotional reaction to it. I find it haunting in the best way possible. I think the best thing about this album is that the songs generate complex emotions. This song in particular, while being very fierce and feel like something you can groove to, actually brought a tear to my eye today. There is a feeling of darkness and melancholy underneath that makes the song what it is. And it's such an unusual song to bring forth these feelings, you would think something like Looking for Mercy would cause this reaction but no, this i
  11. I think it's easily better than Confessions. This one has more ''tooth'' if that's the appropriate word for it.

  14. The final 30 seconds or so really moves me. It is this resilient song but those final melancholic seconds maybe expose the ''hurt'' that is caused by the things the song is reacting against..Or maybe it is the sound of gloom caused by the realization that it is not going to be such an easy thing to do, to change how things are going in the world. This song exposes a lot of emotions and, I'm just gonna say this, it is a masterpiece. It is growing with each listen.
  15. I love the album as a whole. But there are 2 songs essential in this album that make it a much stronger effort than what she has done in a long time: God Control is one of those two, the second one is Batuka. Honestly, I keep coming back to these two.
  16. What I really like about this album is that even though she worked with Mirwais again it never feels like a retread. I cannot trace anything here back to Music or American Life in an obvious way and I love that. I think MDNA sort of suffered from that at times, I remember thinking I'm a Sinner being in the ''Beautiful Stranger- Amazing'' category when I listened to it. There is nothing like that here, they produced something so fresh together.
  17. This might be a stupid thing to say but one of the strengths of this album is the way it sounds so different and new for her yet it has the melodies that bring you back vintage Madonna. With the production of its time I can totally see Madonna singing Looking for Mercy in 1989. For some odd reason, I am brought back to the True Blue days in the chorus of Crazy.. I'm not talking about the production but something in the essence of melodies. I think she tapped into an energy here that made us all love her in the first place and it shows in the reactions of people. Also, I am somebody who became
  18. It does have the effect the song ''Music'' has on me. It's definitely her ''coolest'' since Music. I haven't felt this thrilled with a song of hers in a long, long time. It has that magical addictive quality where you want to go to your room listen to the song a hundred times and feel high on it and think Madonna is the coolest woman on earth. It's really hard to say if it's better than something but it does say a lot when I think if this song was on the album Music, it would still be a highlight.
  19. I'm in awe. Her best since Music for me. I don't like to drag down her last couple of albums while elevating this one but, really, when was the last time an album of hers sounded this fresh and bold? It doesn't sound like anything that's out there, it's really experimental yet so catchy at the same time. She really set another high bar for herself.
  20. I'm having a hard time with the song because I'm used to the first part because of MET gala performance and the spoken part from Eurovision. I would love the first listen to be fresher, but apart from that it's a wonderful song.
  21. It is NOT a lost oppurtunity. She is an artist, she wanted to make a statement and she made a bold one. It would be easy to sing '''Music makes the people come together'' and project world peace sign on the screens. She has never been that basic kind of artist. It was a beautiful, powerful performance. I'm not surprised the general public reaction, she isn't universally loved. People love to hate her. After yesterday, I love her even more. She took a risk and that is the Madonna I grew up with.
  22. I'm really happy with the song. The album is not shaping to be what I imagined but with each single I'm surprised in a good way. I know the vocals are heavily processed but her singing has so much character and attitude in these songs and I don't know if you guys will agree with me but the chorus and the way she sings it brings me back to the ''Erotica'' days. And I love how her vocals sort of blend into the music, as if they were also an instrument. With each single I'm more and more excited. And to think that we still haven't heard what Mirwais has brought to the table apart from Medellin, I
