Yes. This video is about the movement and the resilience of the human spirit...does not pander nor is it narcissistic

Same here more or less. I pay for Spotify and use it almost solely. My cd collection used to be my prized possession. Now I only buy physical for Madonna, Tori, Garbage, Regina Spektor, reissues of classic albums that I love, and occasionally a newer artist I want to throw a sale towards like First Aid Kit or Janelle Monae.
Yep...may buy Prince Originals when it’s released but nothing else on the horizon.
Digital copies from merch count only if they are downloaded or it doesn’t matter?

I honestly feel it's only diehards buying music anyway, the casuals just stream
Yea. I only buy the Queen stuff!
I used to buy CDs and albums on iTunes but now I have an iTunes monthly membership $10 p/ month and Spotify to stream old stuff and new stuff.
Only streaming Madame on both simultaneously at the moment.

There's a few new ones today from smaller publications I won't even bother posting. Even if positive they are so instantly dismissive of her and her legacy..as if she has done nothing of quality since the 80s even. It's exhausting.
I've followed Madonna in the media for decades and she's always gotten SO MUCH SHIT...SO MUCH NEGATIVITY thrown at her...I thought with #METOO some of it would cease...but the rules do not apply to Madonna. I can't believe the Pitchfork review...or more specifically someone like RogerF, who has literally written multiple articles since the album cycle began just bashing her and vilifying her. How do they get away with it? I don't know.I knew though, after the intensity of the MTV hate directed at her after she appeared at the VMAs, we were in for this...but it's still exhausting.
Back to enjoying the album.
the Music is what MATTERS. Still in awe of this EPIC eccentric masterpiece that is MadameX!

I tweet @pitchfork regarding the review. I refuse to give this troll any recognition by tweeting at him. I simply question Pitchfork's credibility and relevancy.

You mean, BB 200? BB 200 is a combined Chart from physical/digital album sales, TEA and SEA. MX is predicted to top the BB 200 chart.
We won’t see M’s single on BB Hot 100 anytime soon.
Crave has a chance based on some radio play, new streams, and album sales. Best hope

My SPS-ing alone should add 30000 equivalent units

Idolator 4.5/5
Album review - Madonna's Madame X pushes the boundaries of Pop!
https://www.idolator.com/7803119/album-review-madonna-madame-x?view-all&chrome=1
In many ways, Madame X is Madonna’s most personal album to date. She’s speaking her truth, while revealing more of herself than ever. It might not be the collection of bangers you want, but it’s what we, as a society, need. The fact that she can stoke the flames of rebellion in a way that is original, vulnerable and inclusive (in the truest sense of the word) is a pop miracle. But, then again, Madonna has been rewriting the rule book since 1982. And she isn’t going to stop any time soon.
Score: 4.5/5
side note: typo bc the author states Rebel Heart opened w/ Looking for Love but otherwise good article, great score!

Quote from the NYT “songs you should listen to this weekend” — looks like they’re basically implying that the album is inconsistent. We shall see.
“Madonna’s 21st-century albums have been wildlyinconsistent: a single that touches a nerve alongside a lot of contrived collaborations. Her latest album, “Madame X,” fits that template, but it does include the techno-pulsed, thoroughly Internet-aware, “I Don’t Search I Find.” Steady beats per minute and synthetic stings accompany the sung and spoken vocals in this track, which insists, “I found love, I found something new/I found you.” She has more to say about life and death, but beat and hooks are her message.” JON PARELES
Ty. We wait then...

It’s bizarre the union of the Starrah songs and Mirwias songs. That which only the Madonna could do
