Do we have any Evita voice on this album?  What about her high range like in Messiah?  Low Karen Carpenter range like in Ghosttown?

I’m just getting home from work and catching up.  Noticing all the individual song threads are up!  I’m so excited for Friday.  I have a weird OCD trait where I can’t listen to stuff until it’s officially released.  Showing my old age, I guess.

It's the most varied album she has ever released. You hear her voice extremely distorted and singing like an angel.  Extreme Occident reminds me most of Evita because it's very musical theatre.

  2. This era feels a little bit as if she would have released Isaac and Push as first Confessions singles or Candy Perfume Girl and Shanti/Ashtangi as first Ray of Light singles. I understand her concept of giving something back to Portugal and Latin culture, but it's a very risky decision to release so many commercially weak tracks (apart from Medellin) before the album release. It seems she wants to save GC and IDSIF for the NYC Pride and focus on longevity instead of a short massive impact. Maybe it pays off that she still has so many aces up her sleeve.

So true ! I really don't understand why people are so determined to ruin the experience of listening to the album for the first time, it's out in 4 days for pitys sake !!!

  4. The album gets better and better! So Dark Ballet is technically what many thought: It's a kind of interlude, an heavenly intro to prepare for the magical God Control. Dark Ballet works now so much better in the right context, as part of an epic masterpiece.  I Don’t Search I Find sounds like a forgotten house outtake from Erotica and brings back nostalgia. 🥰

Didn't you say earlier that the video was for Killers? Your friend told you or something?

I've mistyped. I meant 06. June. It was listed with the release dates of Medellin, I Rise, Crave and Dark Ballet. The other data was correct, so I assumed this was real too.

If such a release date is unknown here it must be wrong. I don't want to spread fake news, sorry. I do not even remember where I read it. My anticipation was probably too big. 😕

Not sure how GC can be released 1 week before the album when D.B. is bieng released 1 week before the album...there doesn’t seem to be time to release a single with video before the album drops now...

correct me if I am wrong pls

It's obvious that DB and I Rise are no traditional singles. They shorten the waiting time for the album release and create streaming buzz.

I think it’s more likely to be the other way around ... D.B is being released on 7th June so there’s no way GC can be released before that

It seems DB is just a statement and buzz release like I Rise and not intended to be a chartworthy single. GC is going to be released one week before the album and could be the big pop single many fans are waiting for. #pray

I have to agree with that. And not releasing the Mirwais tracks that are getting all the hype is another big mistake.

Maybe her strategy isn't that wrong: The Latin and urban tracks opened many doors to a new and younger audience and revitalized the interest of many radio stations. There's still enough time for the release of a more commercial pop single to be on time with the album release. Apart from a few minor disasters, everything could still be well on schedule and the #discostomper with the drag queens could be out in June for the New York Gay Pride.

I'm sure there will be at least 1 sex song, probably Faz Gostoso

The Blaya song has some moderate sexual content, but is not overly dirty ("He knows I'm married and even love my husband. But it makes it so yummy, it makes it so yummy. I spent my life teasing you, and I ended up with that stubborn. He makes it so hot").
