The first single of a new album gets the most attention. I guess too many buzz promos watered down the main release and irritated the public. Maybe an instant double A-single Medellin (Americas) and God Control (rest of the world) - would have been the better choice as first single/s, we will never know. It's a shame: Madonna created some of the best works of her whole career - and it's being ignored by the public at large. I pray that her tour gets the praise she deserves.

I don't know exactly why God Control didn't ignite for me. Maybe because of the political / controversial background, which makes it hard for me to enjoy the song as a carefree entertaining song like Vogue or Hung Up.

The three songs are my favourites at the moment, but I have the whole album on my shuffle playlist (mixed with other artists). I enjoy it more to get surprised by her new songs from time to time instead of listening to them all the day.

I like it. The eyepatch doesn't disfigure her as much as the grillz and the enormous butt pads. I am glad that she got rid of them at the moment.

Not commercial enough? Despacito by Luis Fonsi (with Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber) was a massive worldwide and US #1. Of course it is also due to Madonna's age and image that she isn't played on (US) radio.
