BTW there's an absolute storm against Germany and Netherlands in Spanish social media right now. Serious media is reporting that Frits Rosendaal, Dutch's expert on pandemics, is criticising Italy and Spain for giving treatment to elderly people. He thinks those beds should be for Ā others and the elderly should be kept home. He calls our position "the Mediterranean culture about the elderly".

I tried to contrast the info because I'm too appalled for words but I can't find anything in English. I REALLY REALLY hope it's not true.

    Absolutely disgusting, if true.

I really love Italy (who doesn't), but I'm kind of disappointed by Stupid Love's performance there, especially since Gaga mentions that she's Italian like every other hour, so this might be like God's punishment or something

So the VMA's nominations have been announced and she hasn't got any of them. I thought she at least would have had one on the minor categories, like for the Latin one with MedellĆn or Video with a message for God Control since she teamed with MTV for the release of the MedellĆn video.Ā

Not surprised, really! Never expected MTV to nominate a 60 year old brilliant female artistĀ when their target audience are mindless braindead tweens.Ā

VMAs arenā€™t worth shit today, and have barely any cultural significance, so pay no mind. TheirĀ only functionĀ is promo and PR, however to a dwindling audience because no one tunes in to watch it.

This is such a great station and gives so much exposure to her music. Almost 40 million people are subscribed to Siriux XM in the US and Channel 4 is right next to very popular stations like Hits1.

You should contact SiriusXM and let them know that as a paying subscriber you love the station and you want it permanent like The Beatles, Elvis and others have their own stations. The most successful female recording artist if all time DESERVES a permanent channel.

Yes, we should all do this.Ā

    Such a beautiful performance.

Even though I wasnā€™t personally enthralled with the setlist, she put on one hell of a show that was clearly enjoyed by those in attendance.

I read through some of the comments in the previous threads and some were shocking and striking in their tone and content. Instead of appreciation, there was condemnation. I remember during the Hard Candy era back in 2008 thinking that she didnā€™t have ā€˜much time leftā€™ when it came to her dancing, choreography, and energy. This wasnā€™t because I doubted Madonna could continue at the pace she was going at, it was simply because of.....her being a human being. We age. We grow old. We lose stamina and flexibility.Ā

Yet, she proved us all wrong and went on to do one of the most taxing, physically exhausting, and boldest tours of her entire career with both Stick & Sweet and MDNA.Ā

WHAT POP STAR DOES THIS IN HER 50ā€™S?

Madonna did. And she continues to do it. Again and again.Ā

The notion that she was stiff or slow or whatever else you want to say during the Pride performance is beyond mind boggling. She was fluid. She was beautiful. She was on fire. She gave it her all as a 60 year old woman who has been performing and dancing her entire life and whoā€™s body is naturally slowing down. I can only wish to Vogue into my 60ā€™s and move the way this woman does, and WHEN I tear up a dance floor at 60 years old to Vogue the way I do now, Iā€™ll have Madonna to thank for blazing a trail and breaking down the barriers of age and shattering the limitations of what means to be ā€˜oldā€™.

I hope she never stops. Never slows down. I hope she performs at the 75th anniversary of StonewallĀ at 85 years old and has another generation in the palm of her hands.Ā

    Beautifully said. ā¤ļø

She gave a great performance and she just made one of the best albums of her career. The trolls areĀ obvious and unsophisticated, soĀ tired and boring. Ā Ā Enjoy the music, it will outlive all the noise.Ā

    This... So much this!

The performance was overwhelmingly loved by both fans and casuals, and she is giving us so much this era, 37 years into her career. Ignore the noise!
