  1. Can somebody who knows something about iTunes come up here and explain it ...

In the Australian iTunes, way back in December, I selected pre-order for the 19-track album, and got the tracks 1-6 immediately. After that, when I selected the album, the tab was already changed to show that I had already pre-ordered it.

Then about a week later, it no longer said that I had already pre-ordered the album, but just showed that I had purchased tracks 1-6 and could "complete my album" for $6 something.

A day or two later, the standard (14-track) version also appeared in the Australian itunes store, and now I could complete the delux for $6 or complete the standard for $3 something.

And now, about a day or two ago, the deluxe version has completely disappeared from itunes, and only the 14-track version is appearing.

So, have I actually pre-ordered anything? Am I getting three tracks next week? Where is the deluxe gone?

Has anyone in Australia had the same experience?

    many thanks in advance. :kiss2:

  2. Anybody else loving the Album version of Beauftiful Scars? Madonna has never done a song with a production like this. This really is new for her. It has that 70s disco sound in a very chill and lounge music kind of way. The ending with the male voice is to die for.

The songs 20-25 are amazing. And those are only bonus tracks. A- mazing.

I'm loving the new BS now, after initial resistance.

And I agree - queen could so be a single.

  3. Fair point. The new RH fits better in the context of the new album and as an album closer, so I can see some logic behind her choice of changes. However I still don't think it is the better of the two, and the Avicii sound is what she asked for, that's like saying, Ray of Light is a William Orbit record.

... maybe she just wanted some songs that she could get her guitar out for on tour :semifunny:

  4. Sorry but there is nothing that could convince me that the original Rebel Heart demo is not the best version. There was a general consensus among fans on different boards that the song should've been lead single or second single and with good reason, it had all the ingredients of a perfect pop song. The album version simply has no bang, and no power.

"Best" is obviously subjective. She wanted to make a Madonna record, not an Avicii record.

  5. ooops... it's here...

BEAUTIFUL SCARS demo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BEAUTIFUL SCARS final

REBEL HEART first leaked demo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> REBEL HEART final

WASH ALL OVER ME all demos leaked >>>>>>>>>>>>>> WASH ALL OVER ME final

BORROWED TIME demo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> BORROWED TIME final

i really don't get why they tried really hard to remove any Avicii sound in these demos (except BS)...

GHOSTTOWN for 2nd single after hearing all of this...

No. All finals are better than demos. Even BS Im getting into the new version. i think we are just too used to the old ones. But from a start to finish sonic journey, all the final versions are awesome.

Not sure about singles, theres so many that are great. Im thinking Inside Out coudl be a single.

  7. From people's comments thus far, I predict that this will join LAP,ROL, and COADF to give her a critically acknowledged masterpiece in four consecutive decades!

Not saying that I think those are her best albums, and Music received basically the same acclaim as ROL. However the critical consensus is that she has three unassailable masterpieces, one 80s one 90s and one aughts. Now, she may very well add a fourth.

I hope so too - the thing is that what the general public and critics consider 'great albums' are really only an assessment of the strength of the singles. Not every song has to be amazing (everyone expects some fillers), but the singles must be amazing. And the singles must sell. It will be interesting to see what singles we get from RH. I think WAOM and Messiah could be singles if they get the right mix.

  8. According to LindebergBoy in the Madonna-Infinity forum, who seems to know what he's talking about, the newly leaked demos are mislabeled.

"Living for Love" is actually demo 3, while "Messiah" is demo 4. Both are earlier demos than the ones that leaked in December.

The new "Wash All Over Me" demo is demo 3, i.e. a later mix than the ones that leaked in December. Demo 4 (Avicii's final mix) remains unleaked.

interesting. although the new LFL demo sounds closer to the final than the December demo.
