Oh, I guess she decided to take over posting from her team with the latest X!

I know, right??
Not to keep comparing this to Tori Amos, but while the album, American Doll Posse was a total mess (in my opinion) the TOUR was one of her absolute best. The different ‘characters’ she portrayed allowed her to dig back into her discography and perform songs she hadn’t done in YEARS. So it’d be fun to see what Madonna could do with a concept like that on stage.
Ok, I’m done. We have no fucking clue what she’s going to do and I’m raising my own expectations.
I would love that!

I’m so excited for how potentially conceptual this could possibly be. It feels much more organic with M playing an array of female ideals rather than simply dressing up ala The Matador (even though she looked great)...

I guess but all her fans are already anticipating the album. "Bringing us all to a fever pitch" means nothing when we were all already going to buy the album. Its the Casual fans/GP that she needs to be reaching and posting a red x for anticipation doesnt do that.
Exactly

I don’t think it has anything to do with 10 April as the X is too random for a date.
From a social media perspective it would build up more hype if she just listed a date without any other info.
i think X has to do with the new album or song title

Other than the internet gays, has the X been reported on in the regular media? I kinda feel like it hasn’t been noticed...

I hate these type of articles, just reinforces the stereotypes about her which the GP seem to swallow time and time again.
Certainly doesn’t ever get mentioned about Elton John or Barbra who have been doing ‘duets’ with younger and newer stars for decades, and with pre made hits from their back catalogue to boot.
Mariah can’t fart without a featuring.
Dolly’s Dumplin LP is full of duets and re-recordings yet she has been praised.
nb. I LOVE dolly so that wasn’t shade, just pointing out the BS.
That tweet about Paul McCartney is very telling and should be shoved into the Journalists news feed for a response.

I didn't know Blondie made a full visual album for Eat To The Beat !
The first ones I remember are the Eurythmics Savage album in 1987 and Annie Lennox's Diva, both full visual albums released on VHS.
Yes Blondie were the first... and this was pre MTV.

Maybe it’ll be a mid to LAP 30th anniversary

It seems like she will be at Pride Island because they already announced Melissa Heritage for the closing ceremony.
DAMN!!!! Im from Sydney and happen to be in NYC that week
-
Just a pride related question, if she performs would it be at Pridefest or the Closing Ceremony?
I missed out on tickets to Sunday pridefest... is there any point buying a ticket for Saturday?!

Yes yes yes to this concept - if the police raid the LGBT party and a drag queen throws the brick - I’m all for it! She is gunning to get the LGBTQ community back and she will with this video I can feeeeeeeeel it!
Exactly

Maybe Madonna gonna throw the brick!
I think it would be better if Monet threw the brick... if indeed this is the synopsis.

It seems absolutely crazy that people were able to ask her stuff like this back in the day, incredibly rude......and then she’s so gracious with her response. Massive respect to M!
The amount of misogynist shit that has been dumped on this woman every step of her career is mind boggling. And it’s really all down to her not apologizing for her sexuality, her flaws or for being a woman.
Id love to compile a video that could go viral on social media so people can be educated and respect her. There’s one clip from 1994 where one of Aerosmith says he wants to finger her wheile she’s standing next to him I. Front of an audience and on tv.
Could you imagine Beyoncé, Taylor or any of the other pop princesses from the last few decades copping that crap.
She of course handled it with aplomb.

Conversely, fussy overproduction of the MDNA Tour film which she laboured over for ages completely ruined it.
100%
I still find GGW a complete travesty of an edit

Who gives a shit about these fake outrages and backlashes when her music (old & new) will be heard by 200M people !? As long as she doesn’t completely fuck up her performance, she’s all set for a renaissance era and she should have no problem selling out her next tour (not counting the US).
I just remember similar sentiments being echoed prior to the Super Bowl. Like who cares that it’s sport, it’s huge exposure especially for the upcoming album... things didn’t really work out like that.
As I’ve said before, I don’t really care if she performs or not but if she does I hope there is a simple and effective political message behind it. Something like when she incorporated the Hebrew/Islamic tattoos on the dancers in CT for Forbidden Love.
Id be disappointed with M if she turned a blind eye to the atrocities the Israeli government commits.
