The article in the Daily News said she was going to shave it, but we see that didn't happen. Her hair did get cut in that scene, but it wasn't cut all off. The promos for the Girlie Show, where she has the really short bangs, but still a little length above the shoulders was because of Dangerous Game. She did say in an interview she cut it all off for the Girlie Show, because she wanted to be more androgynous, she was even going to have it black. I still think the length in DG was better, but we know the statements she likes to make.
Haha. The final length was perfect. Her character was originally slated to be a much more conventional TV anchor person but looking back the bad hair jobs from rehearsal footage on should have been a rather obvious clue otherwise.

She keeps talking about how interested she is in doing simpler, less elaborate tours in the future so going to extraordinary lengths to keep up the big production values and dance numbers just for the sake of it doesn't make sense. Live Nation could definitely come out ahead with only Madonna and a few other musicians on stage.

She has said that she writes best when depressed, so not that fans should connect the dots in a tabloid way, but we will still have to wait and listen....whatever it takes to create a meaningful place that people will take to heart and remember I'm all for.

For me she's been good in the following
1. Evita.
2. A League Of Their Own.
3. Dick Tracy.
4. Desperately Seeking Susan.
I do think she should've been nominated for an Oscar for Evita, and I always thought she was much better in supporting roles rather than leading ones. I think with the right part and director, she could've one an Oscar as best supporting actress.
Madonna did say after Dick Tracy and Dangerous Game that they were the best film experiences/performances she had been involved with to that point, and with Evita being such a personal and professional zenith I think she basically gave up on well crafted, artistically risky, credible projects after that and went along with movies to please the people involved or to push a hamfisted, over the top message about parenthood in the case of The Next Best Thing.

Also, shout out to Shadows and Fog. Certainly not a "Madonna movie," but it's beautifully shot, and full of great actors and ideas.
I basically agree with this, although "good" in Evita and League of their Own for M is strictly by her own standard which is pretty much anytime she comes off as a plausible human being, not necessarily what would pass for a regular actress. .

Prince is definitely a pioneer of anti-cell phone, anti-Youtube, anti-anything social media events. But at least he and M are in it together for Tidal. The only time he has been online that I know of was for a concert for peace in Baltimore which was streamed for free through the music sharing service. Not calling for further riots but there has to be an excuse somewhere for them to work a project like that up again.

Did anyone actually read the article ? Chelsea is talking about blasting her "good friend Madonna's music." Other intimate social quirks that apparently make her a terrible mother are not getting dressed like she's going out (which Rosie has often said)), that she doesn't wear makeup while relaxing at home, and that to unwind she enjoys working on her crafts, watching documentaries and drinking wine. If the kids are being raised more by nannies it could be they are the ones that don't mesh with the rest of the family, for whatever reason. :/

If this is true, yeah, crossing the border is definitely NOT the right time to light up. However, this whole "war against pot" some people have is fucking ridiculous. Such a waste of time and $$$ for everyone involved. This is like the "outrage" over Lola having a beer. It's just pointless! If you can bring a bottle of vodka into any given country, you should be able to bring a joint into that same country. Off topic a bit, I'm sorry but alcohol completely DESTROYS lives in ways not even possible with marijuana.
Also, it's a complete myth that everyone becomes worthless after they smoke. Some people become laser sharp focused and motivated after smoking. Of course you would only notice your stereotypical "stoner" because it's blatantly obvious. I know plenty of people who have a smoke before work just like most people have a cup of coffee. Anyways......sorry to veer off track a bit.....I don't think Madonna would really give two fucks as long as it doesn't affect their productivity and performing abilities. She's even said she's not morally opposed to it.....I wouldn't be surprised if she does it on very rare occasions.....wtf else is she gonna do with that penis bong?? Lol I get the feeling Rocco does it a little more often than "rare occasions".....lol
. Pot is definitely not as physiologically as harmful as alcohol but taking enough of the recreational drug to get high still does have a serious downside. If anyone becomes more alert with better memory it could be that the brain is shrinking and thus rewiring itself . : The evidence is still too contradictory to know for sure. Plus marijuana products are so much stronger today than in the past I don't think Madonna is going to be advocating her dancers get involved at least until it becomes regulated (and safer).

I don't know other people experiences, but mine is that pot smokers can't wait EVER. I've seen smokers take drugs just before exams, for example.
I've heard of some endurance athletes taking small amounts of weed to control for pain but anything that requires concentration or agility or teamwork it is completely impossible.

The bus may have been searched for drugs as part of border security but I doubt anything was found. Radar has a serious beef against her dancers. And they make up everything besides. :/

I have to laugh at people bringing up about her "getting past private security" Based on what ? Some comment by someone replying on TMZ article. Plus, being Madonna's daughter, why would security deny her to come backstage ? They are making her out to be in some kind of clever spy-like plot to get some light beer. Just crazy the way this non-event has become a story.
No, not the TMZ. It was posted on a local paper from Michigan. Lola has backstage rights of course but someone would have to look the other way while she and her friends raided the refrig., unless they were encouraged to drink which is more serious.

Nah. Those minors who were arrested at the Lana del Rey/Courtney Love concert last summer didn't get their parents in trouble, just whoever furnished it....but what a mess of kids, really, to be drinking while listening to two recovering alcoholics. No wonder they seemed nervous on stage.

In Australia, the venue would lose its liquor licence for something like that, to be honest...! It would actually be a pretty big deal and you can bet the media would make sure that it wasn't covered up (if there were evidence of someone underage consuming alcohol in a licensed venue). Whether it's "right" or "wrong", it's just the way it is...
There are actually news articles about it right across the net now....
Presumably buying it through the concessionaire would require an id but if she were allowed to get past private security backstage they would be the ones in trouble in this case ??

Seriously Lola is not creating no image, she is not a celebrity or fame hungry tarts like Jenner. Focus on Madonna please, it's the media you should all be pointing at, not a grown up girl drinking beer which is 99.9% normal!
That was just from a couple comments on the sites where this story was posted from people who were supposedly there that she was creating antics, running backstage etc. her friends had to go get her for La Vie en Rose....more than a beer or two. I'm sure we would have heard if it were a big publicity stunt though.

The story about Lola drinking is starting to get picked up... I guess it might become the first 'controversy' of this tour...
If Lola was drinking heavily and doing other stuff like running backstage past security for more beer even during her mother's lovely words of dedication as some have said it is pathetic and distracting but obviously that is part of the image she is trying to create. :/

If the movies go well that will open more of a new fanbase than all the managers combined. But that is a step by step calculation obviously. Let's just get through the tour first and pray she is consulting with the right film type people along the way.

Rosie is a total Broadway musical loon so I imagine anything that sounds remotely like a show tune would get her juices flowing. She has to know that a play of Madonna music would work better than her Boy George or Cyndi Lauper productions.
