  1. I already want to choke people who walk down the street looking down at their phones without looking where they're going... this just made things worse.
  2. She really put her heart and soul into the writing and concept for this era. And you're right, so much of it applies to things that have happened. Which is why I get annoyed when people think she's just trying to sell an album when saying #RebelHeart. It's a concept, a character, her life, and the lives of anybody who wants to take something from it!
  3. I was going to pick Blood Diamonds because what he did for the album is pretty impressive, but then upon re-seeing the tracks Toby Gad was behind, I picked him!
  4. Madonna definitely still has a huge interest online when she releases music (or her music gets leaked, lol).
  5. I had to listen to the demo again because a lot of people say it's better, but I like the album version best upon comparison. Production is really slick. Though I suppose they could have thrown in the harmonies on the final version.
  6. And p.s. I also love Demo #2 and the fact that there are different vocal takes?
  7. I finally love it. To be honest, I didn't really like it at all when it first leaked, then the album version made me love it (i.e. it's a very sweet tune). So I finally went back to the demo and it clicked. This has probably been one of the most discussed topics of the year, haha.
  8. MVP stands for "most valuable player"... usually an award given in sports to the person most valuable to the team for various reasons (success, winning, scoring). In this case, it's the song most valuable to the album, or your favorite I guess. But I look at it as not just because it's your favorite, it's the song the album could not do without because it means so much. Which is why I picked "Joan of Arc" :-) Please add anything if I am wrong here :-)
  9. Top three songs: Joan of Arc, Hold Tight, Ghosttown Song that grew on you: Holy Water Song that faded for you: Devil Pray Best Lyrics: Wash All Over Me Best Vocal: Messiah Best Melody: HeartbreakCity Best Chorus: Inside Out Most Fun To Play Loud: Bitch I'm Madonna Most Overrated Song: Living For Love (overrated by the fans... still like it, though) Most Underrated Song: Body Shop MVP Track: Joan of Arc Most Classic Madonna Sounding: Best Night Most Groundbreaking: Body Shop
  10. Not surprised because the Grammys almost always goes for the main buzzy chart hits and then throw in some "prestigious picks" here and there (cough, cough, examples like James Taylor). Sadly, Madonna mostly seemed to get love when she had the more buzzy singles/albums. I don't believe the voters know much about a lot of the music they are voting for.
  11. The song really has a classic feel to it. Great to see it on the RS year end list!
  12. The gun culture is too far gone in America, sadly. RIP to the victims. Until the next one.
  13. I have a list of fave albums for 2015 and not one of them are mentioned. It really goes to show most albums come and go like blips on a radar because I haven't heard of most of the ones on the list. Usually I have some common ones as a Rolling Stone. Glad to see Madonna on the list either way. It's on my list obviously. :-)
  14. What a ride those leaks were.... I felt bad for her, but it was so hard not to listen. Oh well, I bought three copies of the album after the fact and some mixes to make up for it. :-) Can't believe it's been a year since it began!
  15. This genius song needs to find a place in my Madonna top 20 and something else has to be edged out. My God, this woman has so much good music! This track is brilliant. Gonna watch the Ellen performance again! Love the album production too.
  16. I've been really upset by this... and kind of mad too - enough of this shit!! No matter what, my thoughts and love are with Paris today.
  17. I have friends who are absolutely obsessed with the song now upon seeing the tour. I loved it upon first listen, but glad to see more people working at the Body Shop!! haha
  18. To be honest, now that you mention it, the album version's production reminds me even more of "Army of Me" though. Regardless, I don't think the GP is too bothered, haha.
  19. You are so good at this kind of thing. ♥
  20. The guitar is indeed gorgeous on this. Now I need to try and play it upon checking out this topic, haha.
  21. Queen is pretty damn cool, but I only agree on inclusion of more songs if the album was a double album (like you said). I really like 'Trust No Bitch' as well, and would love to hear it more polished.
