The so called "News" that is incorrect that these right wing papers/networks are peddling as truth is just propaganda to anger and influence people. It is terrifying that it is happening on a worldwide scale. Â
Ouch. They want to take over the world, enslave us population

In Spain that is exactly the image that we have of British people: obnoxious drunks. I guess we are the only country not surprised with what happens in the British government
Outside of Europe, everybody has an image of British people as like in Downtown Abbey/Royal family, all posh and formal.Â

Kim, Murdoch is getting laughed at everywhere online and people calling him irrelevant and that he has lost all influence in Australia. The way his papers campaigned against Labor was described as the most vicious media campaign ever seen in Australia. I feel that decades ago, he would have succeeded with these tactics but Australians are completely awake up to him now. It is such a great night for Victoria and Australia.Â
What is Murdoch?

Well, they don't hate Labor, but they don't unanimously love them either. They haven't gained much this election. The liberal party just lost so spectacularly which was mostly gained by the greens and independents. And I'm glad it has worked out this way. Had Labor been more aggressive on climate change and tax reform, I think that would have scared enough liberal voters to stick with the LNP. Having independents that are aggressive on climate change keeps Labor out of it, preserving their position, but will still ensure better action is taken. It will be as if the LNP don't exist the next few years. It's great.
Bring back Gladys and make her PM of Australia.Â

Yesterday’s result proved otherwise.  Great result. Remember too, Labor is in power in the majority of states. Most state governments are Labor.Â
That’s true. The only thing I’m worried about is the extra vaccine mandate with labour.Â

Yes, hope this result is the start of the end of the far right taking over parties worldwide.Â
Why do so many Australians hate labour?? I don’t understand. I’m talking about the general voters as well. Do they only want a government that favours the mega rich?

I know I am sounding so ageist here, but have noticed a lot of older people sadly are incredibly influenced by Murdoch newspapers. It is what a lot mainly read, so their influence is staggering. in comparison to them not reading social media or articles online from different ideology rather than Rupert Murdoch.  Spoke to 2 people on the phone who are over the age of 70. Both relatives who were once staunch Labor voters. They were virtually frothing at the mouth about issues that are now being used as dog whistle tactics in the Herald Sun such as trans people in sport and the false article that said Labor was banning the word "Mother'"  They kept quoting the Herald Sun etc and their right wing writers. It is truly frightening how Murdoch has turned the daily newspapers into right wing propaganda and also how people be so easily conned. I just hope that his support for Scott Morrison does not influence too many to turn their backs on what they have always believed in.Â
Who are you voting for? I’m gonna vote for whoever you vote for as I know it’ll be the right one

There’s anti mask people in France? I thought everyone living in France is classy?
When I think France, I think beautiful scenery, Eiffel Tower, croissants, and artistic French people. Not anti mask French people?Â

I have stopped watching coverage of USA politics. Too frustrating and frightening. So many far right, conspiracy theorists in the Republican Party who seem to dominate and have so much to say. Fox News etc encourage them completely too. Totally lost faith when seeing so many Americans STILL idolising Trump, complaining violently about their lack of freedom re anyone even dare ask them to wear masks, denying science and covid and thinking the election was stolen. Â How Ted Cruz, Marjorie Taylor Green and co have massive support as well is terrifying. Â I know it is not the majority of Americans but there seems to be so many of them. Their democracy ( which has always been a wonderful part of America and what they were rightly proud of ) could easily be taken away if these conspiracy theorists get too much power again.Â
I’ve stopped paying attention to world politics because of that. I often find it too depressing and mood draggingÂ

Why does he want to come here? There are so many druggies and anti social behaviour here I’m surprised that didn’t scare him out of the country. He can play tennis in his home country.Â
Ânot to mention who on earth wants to get on a 23 hour flight from Europe or USA all the way? Not to mention he can play tennis in another Europe or US city.

Good Grief. What is it with UK politicians. The tories will never change anyway. Everything is for business and rich people. Their whole ideology and it will never change while everyone keeps voting for them.Â
But the UK is a beautiful country :0

I will never understand anyone liking Trump. A stupid, ignorant, repulsive excuse for a leader who hugely lied  consistently and just self promoted constantly.  Was so destructive and deliberately offensive and divisive. He tried to destroy democracy and sadly, it may still happen with all the Trumpsters still around and Fox News and co still at his service.Â
It’s nice every once in a while to do a complete media detox with no media or music for a few days refreshes your mind
