Nothing to do with this thread, but you are such a treasure for our board.

You are a Huge Madonna fan, and you are a benevolent spirit (see your tagline -

Never underestimate the power of kindness.

One kind gesture can transform someone’s day.)

Just wanted you to know what how much you are appreciated.

That is so kind of you thank you very much!

I do love coming in here and love the fact we can all debate, joke, express and even disagree because that’s what life’s all about!

Sending you love from Nottingham England ! X

Oh by the way after reading some comments in the NY concert thread I think many members in this forum are complete CUNTS who don’t care about what is happening to Palestine people. Bunch of supremacist racists. I’m completely fed up.

I understand where you’re coming from.

But I think you want people to declare a position one way or another, even Madonna, but not everyone wants to or feels a need to.

Some people just want a peaceful resolution and no murder or destruction without being fiercely on one side or another.

Can’t we just be anti war and anti conflict without being pro Palestine or pro Israel?

That's might be the tradition, as it has also been in Denmark so far, but abdication is legally possible in the UK, although it requires an act of Parliament.

The most recent British monarch to abdicate was King Edward VIII, who abdicated in 1936.

That is true but it was once in 1000 years of British royal family history.

In Britain the tradition is you are the monarch for your whole life.

I respect they give it up for younger people but in Britain it’s believed it is your duty for your whole life.

  4. I’ve just seen a heart breaking story on the news by a man whose little girl has been taken hostage by Hemes from her family home in Israel and taken to Gaza.

45 days she’s been gone kidnapped from her own garden.

I pray they release the hostages and come to an agreement sooner rather than later.

They are losing. And I guess now he’s trying to save face.

What a sad useless war. As most wars I guess.

But now it appears they have launched missiles that have landed in Poland causing damage and killing people. He is loosing and getting frustrated.

I can see WW3 by the end of the month if NATO get together and Poland plan a counter attack.

Of course everyone involved in NATO will do their best to avoid it terrified of nuclear weapons.

The BBC (another institution that's gone to shit) were premature in reporting that. We still don't know for certain, but he might scrape the 100 needed. I'm also seeing reports that if the members do vote for him the parliamentary group might just ignore the result.

Let’s hope so but that snake won’t miss a sodding chance.

So strange that a PM can simply quit in the UK and then some elitist members of a party can install a new one just like that without Parliament or the public voting on this. Meanwhile that new PM can introduce legislation which will have severe consequences for everyone down the road.
How come people aren’t on the streets and protesting for a new general election?

Oh they’ll be protests for sure.

I’m not sure that matters right now. This is a single issue race, the economy and nothing else.

They’ll want to show that they have someone with a solid grasp and experience the economy, rather than e.g. Braverman’s identity politics and immigration war or the untested inexperience of Mordaunt, Lewis or whoever else is in the running. Though Johnson, whilst of course possible, I just can’t see how they’d do it with a straight face when he’s been deemed unfit for office so recently. But who know?

I still think it does matter.

Had the stuff about his wife not paying tax for years not been revealed and the public turning, he would of hands down won the leadership race not Liz truss.

But the tories knew the bad press he had got because of it and it stinks of entitlement and a tad of corruption so it wouldn’t work for a PM……they were replacing Borris because of his behaviour so replacing with another who’s behaviour had been called so publicly into question (association wig no tax wifey) wouldn’t of made sense.

I don’t think it’s all forgotten now. I don’t think they will vote him in.
