  1. Is the first album on the list or not?

LAP, E and ROL are Madonna's mastepieces, they deserve to be on the list. The first album is good, but it is not one of the greatest albums of all time or even one of the best Madonna albums.

    Female artists are always underrated.

On these charts The Beatles can have 10 albums, but almost every female singer just one.

  2. You're right I'm a fanatic, you're also a whiny ass faggot with bad opinions

Whiny faggot? Perhaps you are talking about yourself.

A true fan wouldn't tell someone just to fuck off, when someone tells something about her. If you are defending her with insults instead of explanations, then you are just a stupid fan who hasn't got anything smart to say.

  3. Madonna's music evolved from charming and fun pop (Madonna, LAV), across first more serious stuff (ING,CFY, TB) to mature and artistic works like LAP, E, BS and ROL.

It is unexpected from her to make a song like Superstar when she has done so many great works and written strong lyrics, you all should admit that?

  4. I wonder how some young fans would react if a young Madonna was releasing some of her past hits today. I shudder to think of the reaction to classics like Into the Groove, Holiday and Lucky Star. Songs that I love with a passion by the way. Madonna has always been incredibly diverse with her music, lyrics and messages within songs and I love her for that.

Well, she made a lot of songs in the 80s that can't be described as mature, but thanks to 80s production, they have charm and emotion. She was at the beginning of her career, it made sense then.

ITG is great song, it really has great lyrics where sex and dance is mixed, it is a very smart song just like Music, which also has great message.

  5. Guess we have a different definition of mature. When I hear the word "mature" I think of something that moves away from pop music, into acoustic, slow boring music based around pianos or acoustic guitars with no or few drums or electronic beats which has never been Madonna.

Well there is a lot of mature music which is boring like Elton's, but it also depends on your taste. I like Kate Bush, whose music is mature, but it isn't boring to me, because there is passion and real emotions. When I am listening to some ballads like Elton's or Celine Dion's, I don't feel the emotions in their voice and music... I am going to say again, it depends on your taste.

Also, Madonna has already used piano, jazz and acoustic guitar in her pop music, the result was good and mature and fun.

Madonna released Something To Remember because she wanted to show that she isn't just a dance music artist. Maybe you don't like ballads at all. I like very much her ballads of 80s and 90s, they are very melancholic and they have beutiful orchestration.

Just compare Superstar to I'm Addicted, then you will see which song is mature and which is childish. If you think that pop music can't be mature, then it seems songs like Vogue or Like A Prayer are childish, just ordinary pop tunes. It is like there is no difference between Madonna's Vogue or Gaga's Just Dance.

  6. I don't mind at all if she does something like LAP, Erotica or ROL. But I think of AC music when people say mature, because most artists when they talk about being mature or grown up, usually change to that kind of music. To me, Madonna has to keep a certain fun and dance element to what she does or she's not Madonna.

Every music genre can be mature. Music and AL also were mature, the passion was evident.

The thing I like about Madonna is mature and artistic pop music. She didn't just make pop songs that were big hits, it really was something great.

  7. I don't mind if she goes more artistic and innovative, even though I love MDNA. But the one thing I ask is I hope she doesn't go more "mature" like people are going on about. I don't want her to do any type of MOR/AC boring music like Elton John or whoever or even back to the Something to Remember era, I like youthful cool Madonna even though people complain she's jumping on trends or trying to be young etc.

More mature sound doesn't mean AC music or ballads. Serious music doesn't have to be something avant-garde, mature sound can be fun too.

LAP, E, ROL - they all are mature and artsitic. Fans want that kind of stuff. Music that make you think, feel and dance.

I don't understand why do you always think of AC music when someone mentions mature music.

  8. Does anyone knows something about this photo session? I read that it was made in 1994 by Jean Baptiste Mondino, who also directed Human Nature in 1995, for British Elle magazine. German model Nadja Auermann is on the pics.

  9. How can you say that, when madonna herself said she was angry when she made this album. She might have listen to the wrong people on what songs to release and being consumed in promoting W.E. And sorry to disagree, but I don't think girl gone wild is a generic pop song that anyone can sing. It sounds actually how a madonna song should sound.

GGW was Madonna following the crowd. It is not a personal song, fans analyze her stuff too much.

Celebration was her first DJ trash sound, with GGW she repeated that formula. I don't see GGW as Madonna song at all. Bad chorus, she has always made songs with good choruses.

  10. All this talk of GGW has got me itching to dance the choreo! Hey-ey-ey--ey-ey-yaay-ey.

Also, I wonder how much of an effect the age of the fan community has on youtube counts. Aren't pre-teens more likely to watch a video over-and-over again, whereas a more "mature" fan will watch it once and be satisfied?

It doesn't mean people are watching the videos. Many people use youtube just to listen music, they don't care if they will choose the original video or a clip with lyrics, they just want the song.

  11. 4 Minutes was Madonna's last big hit, but the song is generic...

I don't care about charts and hits, but GREAT SONGS people won't ignore, no matter who sings them or how old the singer is.

GGW was very commercial, but also very generic. Why should she release such song, if there are already a lot of similar songs on the charts? It is logical to make something what will be different. Beautiful Killer is also very mainstream pop song, but it is much better than GGW and could have been bigger hit. Even IDGA is catchier than GGW and much better.

  12. Usually she has released all the best songs as singles from every album, MDNA is the first album where the great songs have been ignored.

Gang Bang should have been the first single, because her almost every lead single represented different Madonna. Gang Bang is perfect for that. The video should have been directed by Tarantino.

Second single should have been Beautiful Killer. The video could have looked like Hollywood. Elegant Madonna and guns - as a connection to Gang Bang video.

I'm Addicted - the third single. Video similar to Express Yourself, only futuristic.

Some Girls - 4th single. In the video she could played killer who eliminates the girls who try to be like her. (The same concept could be used for She's Not Me)

    I Don't Give A - 5th single

    GMAYL - promo single, video

    GGW - promo single. video

  13. I think Beautiful Killer could have been bigger hit, it sounds like a classic pop song.

The other song that could have been hit is I Don't Give A, the chorus is very catchy and everybody would like it.

Some Girls - It could have worked in Europe, a summer dance hit.

All these songs are better and aren't generic like the ones released as singles.
