I love Nirvana but I agree that the only reason they are still held in such high regard is because Kurt killed himself. Nirvana did open the flood gates to the "grunge" era but that really only lasted a few years.

That's always been my question... who don't they just release at least some of the stuff officially and be done with it. It's obvious that the fans want it and if at all possible will get their hands on it anyway. (Especially in the age where tracks are digitally recorded and easier to get ahold of)
Even a 2 CD set with 30 or so demos that have already leaked and a few still-hidden gems would sell to the fans because at least they would be cleaned up some and in CD quality.
It's never gonna happen I'm sure (or at least it won't until she's dead)

Madonna is about the only artist I can think of that has held such a tight fist on the vaults so it is nice for these to come out so suddenly and in such a great number (in good quality)

I know when I was in the trading game there was a core group of 8 to 10 people who had all the really rare stuff. I'd say there might be 20 or less people who have all this stuff (before the leaks of course). The thing that amazes me is the some traders were charging quite a bit of money for some of the rarer stuff. I would guarantee the big dogs are pretty pissed. Hahaha

well, the only thing that I dislike about her lack of promoting her albums is that she is so close to beating Barbra's record in the US, and not just that, she and Mariah have been neck and neck for the past few years. It's one thing if she was so ahead of the pack that it no longer matters, but it's almost like she's conceding and being "here Mariah, the record is yours while I'll make the money off touring" instead of putting more effort into her statistic as #2 female inching her way to Barbra's US record.
I doubt madonna even cares about that shit

well I'm in the process of buying a house (closing day is the 18th) and I just can't see spending big money on a 2 hour show right now when I might not even get good seats plus I'd have to pay for gas to get there and a hotel to stay in

It's too much hassle for me. I have to travel no matter what date I chosoe, her tickets are too high for my taste, and Hard Candy is FAR from my fave selection of songs.
No biggie though because I have seen her live 2 times so I'm happy as a fan.

well one person's sub-par song is another ones favorite song of all time
Madonna wouldn't have to cram a full 80 minutes on every CD but the occasional "Hey fans here's a song I didn't really take to but you might find interesting" mp3 would be fine
