Apparently it's being antisemitic to not want a genocide and having people being blindly slaughtered. Israel has lost its soul the day they elected Netanyahu and re-elected him with the far right. Months before Rabin was assassinated by a far right israeli nationalist, Netanyahu was asking for his death and a week before it happened he was making a fake burial of Rabin. His killer is from the same far right movement that is ruling the country now, he's an icon to them and they want him to be set free saying he's innocent (he killed Rabin with a gun at close range). Supporting Israel is supporting a far right government. There are no good side here, politically, there re just, on both sides, people being taking hostages by extremists. Being blind to the genocide in Gaza makes you as bad as those being blind to the slaughter of israelis on october 7th. I don't see jews, i don't see muslims, i see people being slaughtered because of greed and interest of evil people, wether it's Hamas or the far right at the Knesset.
People dehumanize other people to justify their murder just because they identify physically and culturally with a side. If they don't look or act like us they must be killed, erased. Jews only care about jews, arabs only care about arabs. I care about both, i'm neither one or the other, i just look beyond and recognize myself in their humanity and my humanity, our humanity, dies a little bit more every day until the hostages will be back and a ceasefire happens.
Netanyahu and his far right monsters are just using this as an excuse to take over Gaza and parts of Cisjordania and Lebanon. It's morally corrupt and illegal. But that's who Netanyahu is and people supporting him are. They don't care about hostages, that's what their families are saying. Israel may kill thousands of people everyday but what they are now on is a suicide mission, not only of its soul but they will never ever be at peace from now on, no matter how strong their international lobby is, they have shown their true face and trying to shut everybody up, weaponizing the Shoah and denaturing antisemitism, is already and will continue to work against Israel and they will lose the support they once had when the truth will finally prevail, because it always does, sooner or later.
Thank you for this post!

One of her strongest album. Streaming it right now!

Unfortunately, that performance, although I like the visuals too, killed Madame X in Europe.

Piece of shit!

Yeah, it's the sam remix. Honey Dijon just polished it a bit.

"Madame X" is one of the best albums of 2019, IMO.
Nobody sounded like Madonna this year.

Wow, it's basically a copy
Honey Dijon rmx is more polished with different intro, but basically it is the same remix.

There is small difference between Honey Dijon and Sebastian Manuel Remix

It is the modern style. Just about every single artist is immersed in vocal effects these days. I hope that it does not end up sounding dated in the future. We need classic songs for the future.
Some of them won't sound dated. Daft Punk used vocal effects 20 years ago, Kraftwerk used them too 20 years before Daft Punk did and both bands have amazing songs and still sound fresh.

Good article. Although I am a huge fan of electro clash style, it seems that Casey Spooner always have had some issues with Madonna. Great find.

It is sad Carta. I am so tired of Madonna's name being unfairly maligned when it is not her fault. She is well known for being very giving, professional and being praised for having such musical instincts by all of her producers and co-writers. Always gives credit to others too. Mirwais messed up here but this guy is now going on a rampage against her and getting attention while her name will again be dragged. Sadly, many of her "fans" will also be dragging her for this and it is not her fault at all.
Something happened to some middle aged gay fans who used to love her and now dragging her all over social media...
I cannot understand them. Oh well...

Ok well since everyone is a above charts and awards, then the chart section should be removed on here
Since we're so hip and "above it all"
I never cared about charts and awards. Charts and awards cannot influence my taste, believe it or not.

And I backed up my claim that it's a "visual album" in that the album's success lie in the visual MX personas, you know that except for that damn eye patch, we never get to see any of them, so the point was Madonna?
It's her job to get it out , her music that she worked so hard on, to as many people as possible
The Madonna of 83/84 would have never allowed this, she made sure everyone knew her
And I stand that she needs to fire Guy, get actual publicity team (this Novak person that was suppose to rehabilitate her PR , hasn't done jack shit) and invest her OWN MONEY in the future of her career if she wants to be thought of as current, who h according to the Billboard interview, she doe
Oh and get back on a real record label
And stop releasing albums in the Spring and going into tour rehearsals right away, PROMOTE it for months, release I October/November, start the PR the summer before, promote until March the following year and then begin tour rehearsals
Basically the COADF, 2005-2006 promo strategy
There are plenty of other commercially successful artists that you can follow, if you can't deal with the fact that Madonna is not in her 20s or 30s anymore and that her imperial phase has been over for years.
You should be proud that no other pop artist sounded in 2019 like Madonna.

Nothing but positive things to say about this extraordinary body of work and tour this era! We don’t deserve her. She knocked it out of the park.
I'm with you on that!

What promotional strategy? This is one of her least promoted albums ever
Barely any magazine covers, no interviews for the tour or tour rehearsals, nothing
A dinky 30 minute documentary just tossed , without promo, on Amazon. She could have done a major two hour documentary film and promoted it's release as well
Rebel Heart had an EXCELLENT promo campaign
Hell even MDNA had a better promo push than MX
I still have yet even really SEEN all those MX personas she was carrying on about
Well you barely do any photo shoots anymore...
For such a so called visual album
A huge fail...

It will be nominated when she dies.

I don't care about hits anymore.
I'm glade that Madonna is dedicated to her artistry. This phase of her rich career reminds me of David Bowie's last couple of albums which is great.
Art over chasing hits.

Crave is a great song, like a few people have said, I'm also not into remixes of songs.
Personally Crave touches my soul when I think about relationships in my private life. That intro at the beginning, I relate too 100%. It touches my soul making me think about what guy do I want in my life, as I always get involved with the wrong ones. Anyway I also love the video and the bit at the end where the hands nearly touch, sharing that energy....wow..
Oh, well. Don't we all want things that we cannot have?

It saddens me how nobody cares about people living in Gaza.
It's just pure evil!
