  1. Looks like we may be finally getting a full reinvention from her. Somehow they are going to fuse Mirwais's beats and disco sounds with Madonna's pop sensibility and a healthy dose of Portugese dance/pop and fado. If she can pull it off, it could be a great success for her and a totally new sound. I'm here for this. It's taken me months to warm up to the idea but finally I'm here for it.

To me it doesn’t mean anything, I can be wrong of course. But poeple is taking like it’s a sure thing.

Yes its very assumptive isnt it! Surely your used to that sort of thing from around here, no? Madonna could record herself farting on Instagram and some poster's on here would be convinced that its some sort of sign and that surely there's a song about farting on her new record.

  3. Moving away from the total garbage that is this thread and much of this forum at the moment, no one is talking about the music at the moment. Was anyone else completely shocked by her choice to work with Mirwais again? What the hell precipitated this? I'm fascinated, mystified and confused by this decision all at once. Did he send her a demo that she went nuts over? Did she contact him first? Does this signify her disillusion with the current music scene and has she finally realised after a decade, that chasing a hit and working with the top producers of the day for the most part is dividing her fanbase, giving too much ammunition to her critics and isn't working for her commercially? Is it time to just forge her own path again and create a truly classic and original album that doesn't pander in any way? What is the point in making current music when no one outside of the fanbase is buying it? As always she seems to have the most success both critically and commercially when she is not chasing trends, though I do believe she always makes the music that she is currently most enjoying so what is Mirwais signifying to her in 2018 that is making her want to revisit him as a collaborator? I'm hoping she isn't having a 2011 moment where she picked a previous collaborator because she knew she was going to be time poor so needed someone she could trust to man her project for her. I'd be devastated if Mirwais is her Orbit for 2018 so she can focus on other things. She has spent a huge amount of time on MDNA Skin and I'm assuming on her script for the forthcoming film so I'm a little nervous. This will be a really good insight into if she truly cares about her music career still and if she is interested in creating new sounds. I was bowled over by Mirwais contributions to Confessions and how far removed those sounds were from Music and American Life. If they deliver even a tenth of that creativity then I will be happy.

she is a total perfectionnist in everything she does
even when she does not play the instruments herself nor compose, nothing can pass without her approval and her ear is impeccable (she hears things that even producers cannot)
so yes she's a producer and a writer and she won an oscar for COMPOSING the song "evergreen" (from A STAR IS BORN, a movie she wrote, produced, etc etc herself)

Madonna is involved but not as much as Streisand , example: YENTL
    she did everything except caterer

    Are you on drugs?

Kanye WAS great. It's a shame that he and M never did anything great.
He and Kendrick Lamar have made some of the greatest albums of the last decade. I like great hip-hop.

This Edgar Barrera guy will never be remotely close to Kanye level. The fact that he worked with silvestre dnagong alone, yikes

Her work on Rebel Heart with Kanye was great. At the time it was unanimously agreed on here that his tracks were the best.

I hope she'll continue with this look on the album, it's the best she looked in years imo and fits her so well. It's like an updated Bedtime Stories era look which was one of her best ever, the pastels, the softness, the femininity, it's just beautiful. I really hope she keeps the braids for the image. This look is sensual and sexual yet soft, feminine and vulnerable at the same time.

She's had this look for the last two years tho.

  7. People who think Madonna would do something as tacky as using her birthday to capitalise on the campaign for her new music really don't know their Madonna very well and it astounds me coming from people who take the time to visit this forum.

Please people, Madonna said straight out at her Tears of a clown concert in Melbourne plus at her Rebel Heart concert in Sydney ( was there for both and heard her say it ) that she would never stop her music career.  Why are we talking about her like she is about to retire ?  Have some faith in the most influential female music star of all time.  She is not going away and we better believe it.  The gyms, skin care etc are part if her live nation deal - pure and simple. Madonna the artist, music star and performer will never disappear.

I dont think she's going to stop i just think the music is going to slow down in her next decade as she focuses on other things. The three year gaps between album cycles may become 5 years etc.

She was the biggest star and priority for Warner’s she isn’t that to Interscope.

However she does yield that power for LiveNation, or did, I don’t think they will sign her again at the same level they did 10 years ago.

I personally don't think she would be interested in another 10 year 120 million deal again even if it was on the table. She seemed like super woman on the Sticky and Sweet tour and paid back the investment in her from Live Nation in one tour and then some but the last two tours almost broke her and the side projects linked to her 360 deal have generally been problematic at best with bad roll outs, limited promo and one phoned in album. Things in general seemed to lack integrity leading to gyms closing down, perfumes being discontinued and lingerie lines being cancelled. The skin creams seem to have been successful and finally she has shown passion for a side project and promoted it heavily in person and online. I think as she hits her 60's she's going to gradually slow things down and we will see more directing and slowly less and less music which is unfortunate for us but let's face it we had a great run and 35 years of iconic albums, tours and videos is nothing to sneeze at. She's given us her all.
