  1. Same! I’m totally grossed out by gym change rooms. There is absolutely nothing wrong with waiting until you get home to take a shower.
  2. I just dont understand why American's see owning guns as such a necessity. I really, really dont get it. Its sick.
  3. TWAT!!! I cant say it enough. And a totally tacky and cringefest fame whore!
  4. Im so happy to see that there have been so many protests regarding the issue of gun control and that these kids didnt die in vain. Its good to see that its still a talking point after a month and wasnt just considered yet another school shooting. I fear that due to the frequency of these shootings that the public were just going to become complacent towards the whole thing. America needs to take Australia's lead and do something about it and quickly. Very sad.
  5. Fuck! The fact that she kept bringing it back to her being a poor 22 year old girl running a business and working her ass off, i just wanted to jump through the screen and fucking strangle her. She wouldn't know a fucking thing about running a business. Let me guess she sets in her comfy home on her computer all day? Sounds pretty fucken back breaking to me. There are people out digging ditches in the world, there are people surviving on less than a dollar a day in the world. She's embarassing herself. And the smug way she kept saying all the criticism was coming from people who are in their 30's and over, as if being over 30 means your over and past it. Its the exact same way people treat Madonna, with this smugness, like who does she think she is to still have an opinion. It drives me nuts. People think bloggers and social media lack integrity and legitimacy because it/they do/does not because they dont understand it.
  6. Yeah it's great. I'm quite taken aback with the support from the straight community.
  7. Are we the only Are we the only Aussies on this board Jazzy? Surely not!
  8. ^ 'almost creating their own genre' is stretching it a bit. By all means I'd agree with you based on their work on Music but that same level of magic can't be found on American Life. Now before the American Lifers beat a path to my door, bear in mind that nothing even comes close to the magic of Music, Impressive Instant, WIFLFAG or DTM. Wouldn't mind hearing them collaborate once more tho.
  9. Lots of newbies coming on board recently. Moreso than recent era's. Could it be that the non traditional promo really worked? What is it that is attracting so many new and young fans lately. It's really awesome to see.
  10. I think we all need to start preparing for the fact that her next record isn't going to sell millions and millions of copies. I only say this based on the state of the music industry. We will be lucky to get maybe 2 million copies and that should be considered a success. I'm expecting a huge first week of at least a million copies and a number one debut but then things will probably follow the path that HC and MDNA did of a quick tumble down the charts which is unfortunate. What sort of sound are we expecting for this record? I'm leaning towards a big pop sound with leanings towards some experimental beats.
  11. I actually really, really enjoyed reading that article. I even read it slowly so I could take it all in and live in the moment, being the first article to mark the beginning of the new era and all. I'm surprised some are being so negative as this is so exciting. As a fan I'm easy pleased, if I like something I don't then change my mind if it fails to become a hit and start trashing it like a lot of fans here do. I enjoy Madonna and I get a lot of happiness from her work, whether it's successful or iconic or not. If this article is true then I like the fact that Interscope are going into this era with their eyes open and with intentions to market it properly and I'm even more impressed that they have taken note of the mistakes of some of her peers with their images and latest work. As I said before, I don't care if the new record sells millions or not but a toned down Madonna sounds very refreshing to me as a fan. I'd like to see her come back with a classy and mature image, a little along the lines of what she explored with ROL where she did the goth thing or Drowned World where she showed that she can still be cutting edge and get everyone's attention and be covered up at the same time. Even on the MDNA Tour, almost every costume had her covered up and she still looked amazing. Madonna doesn't need to push the envelope anymore in terms of still being sexy in her 50's, she's made her point now, time to move on. It's going to be a very interesting era, I can't wait for it to get started and something along the lines of 1986, Live to Tell, soundtrack single to kick things off followed by a proper mid tempo lead single then album sounds great. If this is all turns out to be rumours and bullshit, no probs, I will still enjoy the era but if it turns out to be true then right on Madonna! Bring it on!
  12. Maybe she is going to explore religion again in the first video? Maybe this time she is going to dress in different religious costumes and place herself in the firing line to bring awareness or whatever to the wars and fighting that goes on between different religions and how silly it all is. Remember the quote in I'm Going To Tell You A Secret about the way religious costumes separate people? I'd love it if we got another controversial era from her and I'd love it if she could spread her views on these subjects to the general public like she has in her films and tours over the last 10 years. Just a thought.
  13. Same movements over and over and the male dancer has no idea what he's doing. Terrible ass too lol
  14. Who were the members who swore they could hear 'apologetic, un-apologetic' in the Billboard clip???
  15. She didn't threaten to take herself out of the video, she just didn't like it. Someone in her circle said she purely 'signed off on it' but wasn't necessarily happy with it. It was fine but she should have been part of the dance sequence and they should have definately sexed her up a little bit image wise but I take into acct that she was heavily pushing a softer image at the time. They could have done it in a classy way like in the Hollywood video and even though she looked youthful in the clip her choice of dress and hairstyle made her seem ancient in comparison to Britney who looked and danced amazingly. Strange considering how amazing she looked at the VMA's and that she had only just caused headlines for kissing Brit and XTina but that's my take on it. She was about to release The English Roses and I think she was in that frame of mind when she was making the video, it seems obvious to me.
  16. Her team have always reused old images for her single covers. A still from Express Yourself is the Vogue cover, a still from You'll See is the LDLHA cover, a still from Evita is the DCFMA. The 4 Minutes cover is a shot from behind the scenes of the video. I could go on and on and on.
  17. I don't think it's Nile Rodgers. It's not funky at all, it's very, very retro disco.
  18. Didn't American Life sell 1 million copies in France alone? I recall her giving a speech in Paris on the Re-Invention Tour thanking the crowd for their support and announcing the 1 million sales in their country.
