Rememeber she played LEEDS (even bigger LOL) in 1987? I always thought maybe the strange unforeseen failure of that gig to sell out was the cause of her never playing north of London again for all those years. I think we were just unfortunately lumped in as north of the UK rather than a whole separate country/touring market.

haha, I used to always say Madge would never resort to a provincial uk tour taking in the likes of Brum, Newcastle, Liverpool etc but now that she's played the NIA (LOL) who knows. As for Cardiff, wtf?! Hilariously, her opening night there for s&s was a half empty disaster and taught them a lesson.

...and that's where everyone plays really as it's in the biggest city. I know it's a dump but Murrayfield I wasn't impressed with at all. Most acts only go there for a change after playing Glasgow. Let's face it, the bitch will probably skip us again next time anyway - despite the stellar box office receipts.

This guy we spoke to said RIT was considered for the secc but was deemed too small in the end & the roof was too low or something and they switched the dates to Manchester. I'm sure that bagpiper guy said something similar. Then Hampden of course which i'm surprised she hasn't played in the past as she woulda packed a few nights back in the day..

Dublin pished down heavily the whole show but she had that carpet stuff down and did the full show despite their 11pm curfew so who knows.

Best to stay away from that thread tbh, it took a few strange twists n turns lol. I actually thought MAYBE she cut the show short cos of that drizzle. They didn't have the special carpeting stuff down that they used in certain rain-forecast shows and it's dangerously slippy without it apparently. Even Guy Oseary was out with a towel during Celebration even tho it wasn't really raining much.
