    "There is a scene near the beginning of the show where Chinese hand fans are used. “Initially we bought 30 fans for three bucks each and then an amazing choreographed dance was made and Madonna said ‘We want dagger fans’ – so we spent $20,000 and six weeks working on this beautiful dagger fan. I knew it would be a problem, because we’d gone from using a plastic fan that weighed nothing to using something that’s made out of plastic and metal, which looks beautiful but is three times as wide. We showed Madonna and she said, ‘I can’t hold this…’” :lol:

    Let's face it Adele is going to win all major awards. That's how the Shammies work these days. You have to adapt. If the GP thinks that just because something sells truckloads it's the best qualitywise then they have to award those singers. Furthermore, is Madonna even available for the show? If not, forget about it. That almost disqualifies her. Just because they have an Academy to decide who is the "best" doesn't mean any credibilty. Too many shady things happened over the years. And it all starts with the nomination process. There really is no fair process. Take the Echo as an alternative. That one is based on sales and they make no secret out of it. So everyone knows what they are in for. To have mominations is quite a ridiculous thing considering everyone with a little bit of knowldedge knows who is going to win except for the GP on the TV. Okay, sometimes there are nice surprises. When Madonna "stole" the Echo for Hit of the Year from Tokio Hotel the very last minute. :biggrin:

    Adele released everything AFTER de deadline. So her awards will come only in 2017. Next year is Taylor's.

    Guys, I too got a bit excited about this Caroline Sullivan book as it's by a Guardian journalist, but it's only worth it for the pictures and having a book that covers her entire career if that's what you're looking for. In terms of her music and career, there's a lot of errors and her opinions of Madonna, which are often presented as fact, are sometimes just plain laughable - providing you have a sense of humour. It's poorly researched and there's nothing new in here that you haven't heard before. Some journalists are just plain lazy! If you only buy one book for Christmas, buy Matthew Rettenmund's - I say this with confidence in Matt being someone that digs DEEP, even though mine hasn't arrived yet!

    I can see that by the picture choices in each era.

    Just came back from the show too! Was standing at the catwalk between the cross and the heart, maybe in the 4th or 5th row. Oh my oh my oh my. What can one say? Well I'm not able to give a long review now (my feet HURT) but let's just say I feel more than blessed to have witnessed such a beautiful charismatic performer in my life. There'll never be anyone like her anytime for sure!

    Unfortunately I can't say I was able to fully enjoy it because some people right around me were, well, idiots. A group of 4 guys and girls completely drunk before the show even started. Wanted to shove everyone aside so they can get their view they wanted. And of course they had to throw up right next to me halfway through the show and light some f_cking cigarettes twice!!

    Now, on to the things you guys might want to hear...She started pretty late again, at 10pm. The crowd was on fire though, I was extremely surprised! She interacted a lot with the audience too which certainly did a lot to the good atmosphere too.

    There were some problems with the mic during LFL and La Isla Bonita, someone had to come up on stage and fix it. Plus she dropped the mic during Candy Shop :chuckle:

    Now just one final thing, I know it doesn't seem to be liked here that much, but La Vie En Rose is one of the most wonderful moments of any M show I've ever seen. Love it so much!

    I'm solo looking forward to tomorrow night`s show! Even though I don't know how I can survive all the waiting and standing again. I am dead already after this show! :D
