ugh. This is really terrible. I keep saying it, but there needs to be stricter regulations on guns, they're too accessible. it's becoming too much of a regular occurrence, something just has to be done. I feel really sad for all the families. it's so heartbreaking to see this!

The plot sounds very similar to Brian De Palma's film Dressed to Kill.

"Crave" started out as my favorite, and I still really like it, but now for me it's all about "Come Alive," I love the gorgeous melody, and the choir is so uplifting towards the end.

Still listening to the wonderful MX.

An album that I really liked at first and upon more and more listenings and then the most wonderful live performances, is in my top 5 if not top 3 albums, it is a sophisticated and mature album, that works best as a complete work, not just a bunch of great songs. Such a diverse range of styles, profound lyrics, wonderful instrumentation and finally Madonna is not chasing trends, but frankly is ahead of the pack. Love Madame X and cant wait to see what we get next from our Queen.
Agree with this. She still manages to surprise after all these years. Madame X is a great record.

Streaming Madame X right now! Gets better and better with each listen.

She should've kept quiet really. She knows she has a big platform and she knew it would cause a lot of controversy. No one should feel like they need her words to validate them. Everyone has the right to be whoever they want to be!

I know right now many artists play the safe game and do not have the courage to take a political stance in a time like this and criticize or call out our governments, and Madonna is doing just that with Madame X, as she did on American Life. I've heard so many say, 'stop making it about politics!' but if the decisions made by our governments affects us, then of course we need to act, to speak up! Madame X demonstrates this, and that's why it's a such a powerful record. She could have kept doing Confessions over and over again, but I've always believed that she isn't just a pop star or performer, she's also an activist and it's very much apart of her work and uses her celebrity as a platform to say what she wants; she has a message. Not everyone is prepared to hear it.

I always wanted MIRWAIS + JOE HENRY,
what Portugal is 2 Madame X, AMERICANA would be 2 that project
I really like this idea, especially after watching that clip of her singing with her acoustic guitar on Insta. Great idea.

Well a year later, after letting it grow on me, I'm thinking: once again, she's done it! Madame X indeed has a marvellous and unique soundscape which differs from all her other work, just when I thought she'd done it all, she surprises me again. I love it!

Let's face it God CONTROL is the best song on Madame X!!
Wasn't a favorite of mine until now, but it has grown on me a lot. I realize how amazing "God Control" is! One of her most significant songs of this decade, IMO.

"Looking for Mercy" is still my favorite! And for me, Madame X has got better with time. "Come Alive " is now my second favorite and "Dark Ballet" is third.

I assume everyone here knows the critic was exposed as being a lamb who works with his fellow Mariah stans on writing hit pieces about her "diva rivals"?

Yes this one is growing on me with each listen! and her vocals are so strong on this track.

That's disturbing but real. It's one her greatest masterpieces and it's ignored widely by the public (again). That it's in companion with Erotica and American Life makes this agony more bearable.
The public are only interested in generic, radio-friendly chart music and whatever the latest trends are, M is moving away from that and taking music in a different direction that suits her. She's also more political, and it's obvious some of the industry want to silence her. We live in an era now where awards don't mean what they meant years ago, age also comes into it.. We can see her magic as an artist when goes out on tour, she always pushes the boundaries as an artist and isn't afraid to experiment.

I don't care about hits anymore.
I'm glade that Madonna is dedicated to her artistry. This phase of her rich career reminds me of David Bowie's last couple of albums which is great.
Art over chasing hits.

Well, there were enough hits performed on the RIT, IMO, so... I don't think I'd like it if she completely ignored MX just to sing "greatest hits". If you want that then you're better off listening to another artist. What can I say? you don't know anything about Madonna if you expect that from her.

I think she served her country well and carried herself with dignity, but I totally see the point why some people want an end to the monarchy.
